@AhMesAmis Which school did you apply to again? I mean, like everyone’s been saying, an interest email isn’t necessarily a guarantee for admission. And it’s still only mid-May, so the process isn’t over.

I called admissions and they said that if any schools were full it’d be posted on the admissions blog.
@unin99 CAS. I know people are saying that interest email isn’t necessarily an unofficial offer, but it’s way better than not getting one. I just feel so disappointed that NYU doesn’t even want to “gauge my interest.”
has anybody gotten either an interest email or an acceptance from Tisch for drama specifically? i know a couple of people on this thread have posted about Tisch film… but i havent seen anything for drama (i might have just not been reading very thoroughly…)

@AhMesAmis I was accepted into Udub and got into their honors program and got direct admission into the chemistry major, and I also really really like my roommate. The main thing for me is that NYU and UDub’s STEM majors seem to be on the same caliber but it all comes down to cost. I doubt NYU will give me anything and although I do like the school a lot, even if they offered me 20k it would still be more expensive than UDub. Sorry for the ramble lol
Has anyone got off the waitlist or heard from Steinhart??

@Caseyxcasey Oh I totally get what you’re saying. Since you got direct admission at Udub, that gets you out of having to survive the pre-science program at a university that’s ridiculously over-enrolled. Your stats look amazing, so I’m sure you’ll do fine at any universities. It does look like that UW has a slightly better chemistry major than NYU though.
@caseyxcasey Udub is pretty great… i was waitlisted there and here (NYU) and the two were (are?) my top choices so I can see your dilemma

@AhMesAmis Ya and that would be super nice to not have to go through the hassle of applying again for a major, and I also don’t know how I feel about the campus thing. I most likely won’t accept the admissions offer, especially since they don’t seem to be giving out any money at all to waitlist admits, so a spot will open up for you guys. Honestly I just hate that cost is the #1 factor in my decision at this point
