Anyone who got in or is applying to Gallatin, can you share your stats?
I GOT IN !! Core Programme in Liberal Studies.
I’m international, SAT 1450, Toefl 101, GPA 3.79uw, 4 AP Courses, and is member of the Connecticuticut State Math Team, Capitain of Math Team and Robotics Club in school. Essay was alright. ( Well written but not dazzle). Good luck to everyone who’s still waiting!

Stats (for anyone interested), sat 1400/1600, toefl 107, academics percentage in my country 95%(probably 3.8/4). First rank in pol science and eco in class. Extracurriculars-not much but debating and stuff.
Is the Ls core programme worth it as i originally applied for pol science

Now that I found someone with exactly the same situations with me (emailed at May 8th, admission button disappeared, international, etc) getting off the waitlist, this either means that the admissions office is somehow late at emailing me, or that I didn’t get in this round
Does that mean that only people who were being considered for Core Liberal Studies have gotten in so far this week?
They are quite unpredictable in giving out offers

I know my stats aren’t necessarily good, but still would love to get into even LS

@AhMesAmis I feel your pain. I have similar stats as yours. Except I have fewer AP. No interest letter whatsoever
LSP is really not a bad option, and I have also applied it. Guess we have to wait till the third wave.
It seems people who got the interest emails are most likely to be enrolled… So far Ive only seen one person being enrolled without the email, and he was enrolled for Thebes’s spring term. However I’m still hoping, because I really want to go to NYU. There are people getting enrolled in July last year, so guys don’t give up
@Miti66 I was doubting if there’s gonna be a third wave at all, because it seems that they’ve admitted a lot of people while only 325 spots are open. And since I’ll need to get my visa done ahead of time, I really can’t afford to wait till July
@Miti66 I really poured my heart out writing the RSVP form… I wrote like ove a thousand words just to express how much I love NYU and how it fits me
The thing is i got no scholarship, i am on the edge right now, but nyu is dream but priceX_X, i may reject it, any tips on how should i go about it, my second option is gwu for pol science where i got 10000 scholarship
@rahv_3069 You really should discuss the financial aspect with your family, and see how they’ll go about it. You also need to ask yourself whether you’ll put up with 2 more years of general education; I mean if you like it then it’s splendid.
family is ok about it,even in normal courses the first year is a foundation year. so ls core is just longer and more intense i think. The courses are fascinating.Will nyu will have the same opportunities for pol science compared to gwu which is the hub for opportunities for pol science?, you know… washington DC
