@Gurgen The email is titled NYU Application Acknowledgement and in the email they give you some info for you to register for NYU Albert (a place where you can check your application status). Btw, I got the email 2 days after submitting my application, so if you have just submitted then probably just processing. Or you might want to just email them.

@Wilsonhsu1115 what if I’ve applied only for NYU Abu Dhabi? Cause both of my friends who have applied to NYU AD haven’t got it too. I have submitted mine on the 30th of October.
@Gurgen True, in that case I dont know, but if all of you and your friends didn’t get it, then you shouldn’t worry! Since I did apply to NYU itself also, so that may be why

Im applying to Mechanical Engineering. ACT composite of 31 with a 34 in math. Im giving SAT subject tests in Maths 2 Physics and Chemistry. I had a 3.92 GPA. I put Abu Dhabi as my first, China Second and NY third. Do you think i have a chance of getting accepted? I had a good essay and good ECs with many internships. And i got the NYU email acknowledgement. Waiting for invitation to Candidate Weekend. When does it take place and when do they send out invitations?
@Wilsonhsu1115 Actually, I’ve applied only to NYUAD and I’ve got the NYU confirmation mail. Maybe you’ll get it in a couple of days ?
@Thisishassanali Your stats looks not bad, but nyuad acceptance is really dependent on alot of things and you all you really can do is just hope for the best As with candidate weekend, it is from the 3rd to the 6th of December 2015, whilst we get invitations around the 15th this month. Good luck and hope you get invited!

Hey Guys, do you any of you still have any missing documents on their files for NYU? Cuz even though my counselor submitted my high school transcripts through common app it still says they are missing. I already told her to send it again to their email address but what should I do? Do you have a similar problem?

Yeah. Even I’ve got the same problem. Apparently NYU has a really sluggish system so they take about four weeks to update the status.

Guys i have a problem, I submitted my CSS with my common app so i didnt have the university id number at that time. Will i have to submit again or is it okay?
@Thisishassanali Hi, I actually called the undergraduate admissions office at NYU and they said as long as you entered your Common App ID (and SSN if you are applying from US) then it should be fine.

Are you sure about 15th being the date ? Cause that seems really early (Not that I’m complaining of course)
