No mini, the exact opposite!

I am saying exactly what vicarious has stated.

Stop this outrageous spending on electing the next President through advertisements in any form (placards, stickers, flyers, etc) and accept only the federal funding…I will admit that I no longer check the donate 3 in my tax box because I am so oppose to the amount of money being spent. I would love to see a candidate come out and state, if you donate money to me, at least 50% of your donation will go to ea and every town I visit in a charitable way, i.e. as I have stated in our town, books would have been greatly appreciated. Also the thought that the town makes money is ludicrious, The town actually is out money since they need to have the police working overtime, to secure a HS for Bill’s arrival which was 3 hrs late, so all of the police worked overtime whether traffic or security, the Clinton’s didn’t pay anything for it…same is true when Obama showed up 25 miles away. The media rolled in for the afternoon from Raleigh and left.

I am not saying anyone should spend more, but what I am saying for myself is before I give one dime to any candidate it will only occur after I gave every last penny I have to my local charitable organizations.

I give credit to Crozine who pd for his election, same with Forbes and Romney when they did their run. Christine Todd Whitman also falls into that cat. you want to run for President, great, but when everyone is talking about how horrible the economy is and people are giving even $5 to a candidate I feel that there is a disparacy. Why give the $5 to the candidate when our govt gives them money, why not give $10 to an organization that will truly feel the difference.

It kind of goes with the thought I want a dog, I love dogs I don’t care what breed, but instead of going to a shelter or a rescue society, you walk into a puppy mill. If you truly want a dog, than save one, put your money where your mouth is. If you want to change poverty, then donate not to a candidate, but to the organization. Candidates are about words and promises. There is no proof that any candidate will be able to make their promises become reality…the $5 you give to a food bank or a middle school program will make a difference. $5 to a food bank is 2 boxes of cereal for a family on welfare, $5 to the middle school program is a new music book. It makes a difference to our country compared to some stupid ad that runs for 30 sec and costs $50K…when the NC primaries were going Obama ran 30 sec ads 3 times an hr on primetime, I would change the channel b/c I was so sick of them. I am sure I will do it in the general, afterall the media runs them in their news section or I can find them on the net for free. How many rural families would have been fed for 1 yr is astonishing on just one ad hr.

BTW I have put my money where my mouth is…I have rescued my dogs and cat. Donated my old car to the Battered women’s shelter, given $100 every yr after the middle school choral program directly to the school, donated $50 to our hs football team (my kids do not play). I bring in can food to our church every week for the soup kitchen. I see how much a little bit helps.
