<p>The question is why is Hillary more qualified? The fact that she says Obama is not qualified, does not make him unqualified. No one has explained to us, including the candidate herself, as to why she is MORE qualified.?</p>
<p>She can scream and yell, and whine, and ruthlessly attack her opponent, but that does not make her more qualified to be President in my opinion. That kind of “toughness” is in and of itself one of her extremely unattractive attributes.</p>
<p>As the media darling, she can continue to send some wonderful sensational news “stories” to her friends at the media. It doesn’t make them true, and it doesn’t make her opponent unqualified.</p>
<p>If he is so unqualified, please answer another simple question. This is an easy one. Why would she want him as her running mate in the general election? :o</p>
<p>In response to your link above, I have another simple question. What has she done in the Senate that has changed the world??? :eek: What major issues has she solved?</p>

<p>That doesn’t answer the question as to WHY she would consider him as a running mate if he is so unqualified. He is after all, a heartbeat away from the Presidency. If she is so concerned about the good of the country, why would she subject us all to such a doomed destiny ?</p>
<p>I think that Obama has not committed to considering Hillary as a running mate. He clearly would bring some benefits to her campaign. She offers him nothing but baggage. He is currently in the lead. We get it. This is another Bill and Hillary Clinton tactic. Hopefully it backfires on them.</p>

<p>BECAUSE with Obama as her running mate she’d greatly increase her chance for getting elected. That is WHY she would consider him as a running mate. It has NOTHING to do with his qualifications (or lack of). Like I said in my first post, God help you if you think her picking him as her running mate is because she thinks he is the best person for the job.</p>

<p>If you believe that she’d choose Obama just because he’d help her win, even though she doesn’t think he would do well as Commander in Chief, what does that say about her character?</p>

<p>I find this amount of cynicism very sad. </p>
<p>It’s possible to do both- find a person who can help you win, and still find someone you think is competent enough to run the country. I guess I’m very naive to believe that most fromt runners actually care about their country.</p>
<p>It says she doesn’t plan on croaking in the next four years? It’s the norm to pick a VP based on geographic base of support or to draw in voters deemed too far left or right for the actual presidential nominee to support. While you wouldn’t want someone completely incompetent to be your successor, the odds of dying are so low–and the fact that the veep would still have the president’s advisers–that it seems a bit of a stretch to use this to cast aspersions on Clinton’s character. Not that she’s a saint, simply that this is one of the most ridiculous subjects about which one could defame someone.</p>
<p>And seriously, how qualified do you have to be to be a good VP? All you have to do is speak well enough to draw attention to the president’s successes and away from his failures; otherwise, all you do is go to state functions in the place of the president and try not to offend foreign heads of state. And maybe, in the off-chance of a stalemate in the Senate, you cast a tie-breaking vote to which the president would have agreed anyway.</p>

<p>John McCain said on Larry Kings appearance this month that the most important thing in choosing a running mate was picking someone who could be Commander in Chief in case it was necessary. It sounds like McCain has a lot more sense that Hilary, or at least he knows he’s not immortal.
Yes, he’s 11 years older than Hilary, and he’s had cancer.</p>
<p>Is Hilary so sure that cancer couldn’t stike her? What about assassination? </p>
<p>She is so confident that her running mate doesn’t need to be able to step into her shoes in an emergency because nothing will happen to her?</p>
<p>If this is how she would plan for emergencies in her presidency, we certainly can’t afford her.</p>
<p>I don’t believe this for a minute. She knows Obama would make an excellent President and commander in chief. That was my original point.</p>
