<p>My son’s stats: ACT- 32, GPA W- 4.25, UW- 3.94. rank 2/240, ECs- Eagle Scout, President Student Council Exec Board, President BPA and qualifier for National competition last year, theater (roles in two school plays), Exec board of his school’s freshman mentoring program, serving on the school’s curriculum committee. Accepted to Michigan and Kalamazoo College. Waitlisted at Oberlin. Rejected from Northwestern. Waiting to hear from one today but if he couldn’t get into Oberlin we’re pretty sure today’s news will be bad. I’m also wondering if we were too “needy” or if his ECs seem too “establishment” or conservative although he’s uber liberal. </p>
