Oberlin in Italy

There is no one certain summer when most students attend. The year my daughter went, it varied from a few students in the summer before college to some young adults who had graduated two or three years before, with everything in between represented. Most of the participants are in their college years and a fairly large number attended other schools than Oberlin.

I get the feeling that the acceptance rates for this program are reasonably high. They get a core of top notch singers and instrumentalists, but there appears to be room in the chorus and the back end of many sections for solid, competent musicians who can pay full tuition. This is not a 24/7 music program, rather an equal mix of music, cultural immersion and vacation.
