@castigations I agree with you!!which is why im going to call the ets tomorrow

@Castigations
Yeah the median q right? People were discussing how they were calling in a complaint

@SoccerGirl Okay, I think i might switch out my november sat to december and just take subject tests next month.

If the essay question was the following: “Should young people commit a year or two for community service?”
I answered with an example of military service. Is that okay?

@justaspy I said that the prompt is assuming that “community service” is something generally beneficial to society, which is why they said that children should be required or not. So based off this idea, I used Night by Elie Wiesel. I said that the SS Officers were doing “community service” by aiding to commit a genocide of the Jewish population, but it had little beneficial impact to the society as a whole.

I felt iffy about the guy I talked to earlier. (He was indian lil). I just called again and a lady answered. She asked me for my name, social security and stuff and took down my email as well as phone number. She said that the “escalation” department will give me an email as well as a phone call in the next 5-7 days or so.

if you write about the topic and fill up the 2 pages your guranteed an 8. that’s what I did. hated the prompt the moment I saw it. Had to make stuff up along the way. anybody taking the SAT again? This was my 4th time so I’m done. March 1570 May 1630 June 1620 and October hoping for 1800 :P

@jackytang23 LOL okay that sounds better, let’s hope for the best. i don’t really have much info on scholarships, but if i find anything good, i’ll be sure to shoot you a message.

My tips for the Essay, which I always score 11-12 (with the occasional 10), is toALWAYS use fake examples. Make them up on the spot and have them fit the theme of the prompt, rather than making the prompt fit your examples. I pre-format my essays. Since the readers don’t know who I’m talking about in my essays, they won’t have any bias because if the reader knows who you’re talking about they might bring in their personal viewpoint during grading. And I always bring up my argument/ restate my thesis throughout every aspect of my paragraphs so that my argument is strengthened. Lastly, don’t forget to throw in some colorful vocabulary
Guarantees a great essay score every time!

Re: the essay question about "community service"what was the exact wording ? Did they mention about public service?

Don’t forget to write 5 paragraphs, fill-up both pages, and write with great handwriting (apparently they are biased towards handwriting. I could see why because nobody wants to read chicken scratch :P)

@Karnier That’s what I put

compared to june I thought math was harder reading easier and writing the same. agree or disagree?

writing had a lot of tricks tbh it was harder than usual

For one of the writing questions my friend said there was a diction error where “tendentious” had to be changed to “talkative”. Can someone confirm this? I’m worried…

I dont remember that one…

Wait, was there more than one essay question? Mine wasn’t about community service…

Oh no… my handwriting is horrible :(

Maybe they’ll just see that I wrote two pages and be like “can’t read it but it looks fancy, better give 'em a 12”

Mine was about values and character

Same @Jackytang23
