@sat2014 it’s cool if math isn’t your thing, i thought pre calc was a waste it was simply a repeat of algebra 2.

@scarlettlovesivy yeah im not sure which to take yet… i go to a college prep private school and the AP calculus teacher at my school is ridiculously hard. Also, i want sort of a break senior year because this year is so hard already. Does BC look a lot better when u send to colleges than AB?

i never understood why those schools make the class so hard. im in a public school. average. but my teacher is awesome. he makes sure we understand everything, and never overwhelms us (at least not too much) and if he does, he recognizes that and goes easy on us. He had around 90 calc ab students, and 60 calc bc students, last year, and the average ap score was a 4.30-something. i personally got a 5 on AB, and am taking BC right now. We are on taylow and mac polys. doing some frqs from collegeboard. very challenging for me lol, but im sure ill get through it because we are spending another like 3 days on it.

@emersonballer21 I understand. Calc AB is not that bad at least for me. Got a 5 on the AP Exam last year, though the FRQ was a little easy than I expected. I just got lucky I guess. Multiple choice was a little hard though, but it was the section without a calculator.

4 days left.

What do you guys plan on majoring in? I’m gonna be in STEM, so my struggle with SAT math is a little embarrassing.

Finance or Real Estate Broker. Granted I didn’t do that well in HS and my SAT scores won’t be amazing but if I put in all my effort, I feel I could accomplish my goals in life

You’ll do great! Just the fact that you’re even on this forum indicates that you take school more seriously than most students.

@Mystic7 Good Luck! Hope you accomplish your dreams!

Thanks! If this test didn’t go well, I can still take the SAT in December (the school I want to go to has really late application deadlines).

I KNOW I can get an 800 in math if I stop panicking during the test and skipping questions. I think I skipped 9 math questions on this test. If I hadn’t skipped them, I probably would have gotten 3/4 right. I grew up thinking that I was incapable of doing math and now I have a complex about it

Hope the November test and December test is in all our favors. [-O< [-O< I am praying that these next two SAT’ s will not be difficult.

I’m worried about the CR curve. I hope for a 620+ but I’ll probably see a 600 instead
I know I did better than the 1620 I earned in june so anything 200+ points is an improvement to me , good luck to those taking the November and December test. This was my final SAT so I’m relieved
a 5th SAT would have sucked

I think the curve will be average. -1 800, -2 790, -3 770… does that sound right? I really want a great curve but I have a sinking feeling that the easy to read passages will not help our case

was i the only one who thought the vocab was really easy?

It was okay… it didn’t really stand out to me. I knew all the words down pat, though. Didn’t have to make an educated guess on any. I dunno if I got lucky or if it was really that easy.

@Mystic7 have a feeling your right
probably will get a 600/610 in CR then vocab was really easy compared to other SAT tests. All depends on DIFFICULTY OF QUESTIONS. passages were easy but if there were a lot of 4 and 5 level questions, then the curve will be average. What about the writing curve? I expect a medium one

@Mystic7 when you get 2 wrong and you don’t have an 800, GENERALLY that’s a pretty harsh curve

I think that test with the -4 800 curve had six level 5 questions. I feel like this test will have at least a couple of level 5s… right?

Agreed, expecting an average curve for writing. I think math will be lenient-average. It had quite a few questions that CB considers hard. Venn diagram, graphs, the square question, etc.

I hope everything is average but it looks like the CR curve will be harsher than normal. hope I’m wrong :(

Guys stop worrying so much. At this point you cannot change the answers you chose, so stop predicting the curve; it only makes you feel worse about yourself. I know this test was pretty easy to medium. I agree with the harsh curve for reading and math.
