***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

Kinda upset about the math curve but theres the act to l

@LAMuniv‌ Oh alright. I was just wondering because I misbubbled my reading section on the scantron, so I had to erase everything and rebubble my math scores. I’m scared that the eraser marks were picked up.

Look forward to*

math answers**

How long do you think I have to wait if it says not yet available in the score report registry?

Happy all my hard work payed off

800 - Math
730 - Critical Reading
790 - Writing

2320 Composite

YAY!

For those wondering about the cr curve, I got 800 and got at least -1, maybe even -4. So the cr curve should be decent

IDK about math or writing :(

cr curve was a little harsh but not too harsh

didn’t hit my goal… D:

Who else is going for november/december? Gotta pick up that freaking math score

WHERE DO YOU SEE THE ESSAY SCORE?

Also, is 770 in math 1 wrong? I think I omitted 1, so maybe it is 1 wrong, 1 omit??

Click the banner that says “Most October scores are available.”

Do you guys have any tips for math? I do so well on practice tests and it all goes to hell during the real test :(

750 writing
700 math
750 cr
2200… I thought I did better on reading, now it’s especially embarrassing considering the cr curve is supposed to be easy :-/ not sure if ill retake

Thanks mystic, found it.

ETS screwed me over. Somehow I got a worse score this test than June and I was COMPLETELY sure I had the 1300 CR+M since I had 1290 CR+M in June. But no. Thanks a lot ETS. I hate you. ARGH. No more tests for me. Looks like I just lost the potential to go full ride

@Mystic7‌ I went from a 590 to 720 in math. I did all of the SAT tests from May 2012 to May 2014. I didn’t just go through them once - I did every test at least twice, sometimes thrice. I also used the Barron’s math work book and Dr Chung’s math work books, which definitely helped a bit.

My advice would be to get a good tutor, get him/her to pinpoint your weaknesses, and practice practice practice. If the lower than expected score is due to anxiety or nervousness, I would recommend you to take one entire math test a day, in a library, timed and everything. Maybe even give yourself 21 minutes instead of 25 minutes to get used to the testing environment.

720 is not a great math score, but I have always been atrocious at math. It’s taken me so much effort to just get here. If you follow my advice, I guarantee you will score 700+!

Math curve seems to be the same as May. Got 750 with 2 wrong. Got 770 this time with 1 wrong 1 omit. So I assume 2 wrong was 750 again?

well guys, what did I learn from my 3 test process? That your score is at the sheer whim of the ETS and despite studying, may just get worse. I did all of my studying. Was looking at a nice score. Now I’m stuck with junk for a score just below my scholarship threshold. At least I still have honors college by the teeth

My scores may appear atrocious to everyone on this forum but I’m proud of it. Honestly anything in the 700s is great. I went up from a 530 in CR in may to a 660 in October
Composite: 2060
CR: 660
Math: 700
Writing:700

@fuzzypeaches22 Thanks for the detailed response! 720 is a good math score IMO. This 590 is an improvement from 480 in June (had panic attack and literally skipped about 30 questions). I will try what you’ve suggested :)
