***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@sat2014 I’m not sure about that one since a lot of people thought differently, but I put roominess. What was the entire question?

@landsharkk the question was asking how the children felt about being in the new car or something very similar to that

@ifnt7ju‌ yeah that was it. they were like wow this car is HUGE so much space, i assumed they were impressed with the roominess of the car rather then just following sonnys instructions

@sat2014 yup that’s what i thought too… because the passage also mentioned that they stretched their legs comfortably, which led me to think that they like the roominess of the car

@ifnt7ju Yeah, that’s what I thought. The entire passage is online btw.

wait did anyone have the passage by Chimanmanda Ngoza Adichie? I love her work, but I haven’t heard of anyone talking about it

my worst passage was the gymnast one. i messed up on how she viewed her coach. thought it was idealistic or perfect for her when she felt he was unremarkable :frowning: and 15 about what the author would say about her.

I got dillentate for a question that is correct right?

Oh yea what’s the answer for what the author would say about the gymnast?

@sat2014 sigh I thought I did decently on CR right after the test. Then I checked CC …

College Confidential is really where happiness goes to die…

Nobel Prize Winner question was dilettante because people thought he wasnt capable of winning awards right?? someone answer please!

If u can tell me the other answers, I might be able to help cause I forgot what I put

@tryhardalay‌ No. Dilettante means someone who dabbles in the arts and isn’t really skilled at anything. It was Luminary: leader in their respective field.

it was luminary
dilettante is amateur

For the writer’s block, would he say that the torture is “somewhat relevant”?

@Hazzan97‌ If that was the question that asked about how the author of passage 2 would have responded, the answer was something like “a potential breakthrough”

@chinghuang I’m talking about the question that said how would the writer in passage 1 react to passage 2’s use of the word “tortures” to describe the writing block…

@Hazzan97 extremely apt?

As @Fragalaga‌ has said, the answer was extremely apt. (According to my son-in-law.)

Ching Huang
