Starting this year, every second week of October will be Free College Application Week in Texas.

The second full week of October is officially Free College Application Week in Texas. From October 13-19, 2025, Texas residents can apply to any Texas public college or university for undergraduate admission, including first-year freshman and transfer applicants, without paying an application fee.

This is great! FYI - I called the admissions office and they recommended that students use the Common App to apply and NOT use Apply Texas. They said Common App is much easier to use and fewer glitches. Go horns!
