October 18 PSAT Discussion

or does anybody remember the machine question in the first critical reading section??

I also seem to have gotten the one with the Romans wrong. Damn.

I’m sure the club answer was 1983. Look on either the first or second page; I explained it.

Also 14 is right to the four-digit number question.

Here’s how I did it:

It told you which numbers are in the 1000s and 10s digit, so they each can be only one thing. One of the other numbers then had to be 6, and it ended in an even number.

So two options: (#)(6)(#)(Any even number) – 5 options here

(#)(Any number)(#)(6) – 10 options here

And there’s overlap for the one that goes (#)(6)(#)(6), so subtract 1 from 15 and you get 14.

The vice president one was like, they’re allowed to borrow paintings from the National Art Gallery to hang in their place of residence.

im 100% sure about the answer being 1983 cause i had enough time and actually went back and wrote down all the years

Wow, so far the 14 one’s the only I have wrong.

Needless to say, it’s only because the whole load of questions I did indeed get wrong haven’t been mentioned… :</p>

does anyone remember the sentence completion with machines and stuff?
i got
falter-redundancy as an answer

does anyone remember the writing question with some ceramics being considered the to be among the american creations?
i put “TO BE” as an answer cuz other choices were redundant cuz they repeated consideration

it looks like everyone did bad
i hope the scale will be higher than normal since the test was somewhat hard and many ppl did bad

I made stupid mistakes. I cannot believe the grammar questions I got wrong. I absolutely cannot believe how stupid I am.

rlagh I agree with you on both the machine one and the ceramics one, if that means anything. :P

Was the machine answer fail…redundancy or falter … redundancy?
I put that one of the weathermen was ATYPICAL

YAY…
and there was this sentence completion one with dividing votes to take advantage
that one was crazy hard
i just skipped…

was scourges…innocuous the right answer for one of the vocab qs?

I put scourges … innocuous
The answer to the dividing votes question was GERRYMANDER

For the ceramics one, wasn’t it “to be considered among”?

Also, was the one with Chavez wrong?

YAY…
and there was this sentence completion one with dividing votes to take advantage
that one was crazy hard
i just skipped it

yeah i think it’s scourge and innocuous?
everyone agreed on that one right?

to be considered among is redundant cuz the problem already said considered
right?

gerrymander was correct…idk how i know that word

Chavez one I put no error.

I had no error for one about rare book manuscripts too, now that I think of it.

I’m sure about scourges…innocuous. It was between that and pests…pernicious, but I looked it up and now I know I guessed right!
