***October 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread***

If I get a 2360-2400 on this SAT, I will be the kindest, most respectful person in the world. I will do literally anything it takes, God, CollegeBoard, whomever…I need this.

Please, please. 2400 would be ideal. I’ve worked so hard. The wait is killing me!!!
Best of luck to all of you. I really hope you all do really well.
Thank you all for all of the support you’ve given me through the process.

I just retook the ACT (which I had scored lower on my first time compared to my first SAT) and ended up with significantly higher scores, so I’m hoping the same happens with this SAT!!

Hoping for a math increase from 680… the 22nd needs to come faster!!

@MALABARCOAST2014 please don’t retake. You’ll look excessively perfectionistic.

GUYS…should i take the november SAT or the December SAT if I decide to retake this???

December, don’t rush it man

i really don’t get why finicky is the answer but dainty isn’t… its costing me crucial points

@juicyMango at what score would you not retake?

Can someone predict my score:
Reading
-7
4 omitted
Math
8 wrong
3 omitted
Writing
-3
Essay: 10

@RahulP
worst case scenario prediction (i.e. the curve sucks)

CR: 650
M: 620
W: 720

Total: 1990

Best case scenario prediction (i.e. nice curve)
R:670
M: 640
W:740

Total: 2050

@TheEpic2401Man: After a lot of research and thinking, I wouldn’t retake if I got 2310+ because its in the 99+% and it is in a competitive score range at almost any school so I wouldn’t be hampered by my SAT score in any way which is my goal. Plus, most of the time there is no difference within the 2300 range, (2370 vs 2320), so anything in there would make me happy. So even if I got a 2290, I would retake because I know I could do better and there are many people who scored higher that I am competing with in the admissions process.

^Truedeau (lol for Canadian elections)

@truculent hey can you explain to me how you got 7?

@tomatoes124 You mean the question: sqrt(y-3) = sqrt(x-2) + x ?

I’m scared. Hoping for a 2300+

@awesomesaucee thanks man :slight_smile:

yeah @IvyHopeful98 I though it was 3 because it was asking what is the lowest value [i think] of y and you can’t have a negative sqrt @bobthebuilder13 same lol

I think -3 on CR will be an 800

@MALABARCOAST2014

I doubt it. Good reading curves have -2 for an 800. Also, this CR section wasn’t especially hard.
