***October 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread***

Does anyone have any more questions regarding answers?

Are you sure it was base and leg being the same length?

Yeah, I remember it saying AD and CD were the same length. If it had been AB and CD, I would have spent much less time trying to figure out why the question didn’t say “possible answer”.

What did you put anyways?

…unless I misread the question, in which case I’m screwed.

(I put 5/2, since that worked.)

do you remember any other ones that you gave some time to think about?

Nope. All the other ones were really simple.

(at least for me)
(note that math is my forte)
(which is why I’m going to be really disappointed if I get a question wrong on the math section)

Do you remember the last question of one math section where there were two functions f(x) and g(x)? What did you do?

Btw, did anyone else notice the proctors didn’t pointlessly say you can’t use mechanical pencils this time. Also, they didn’t say you had to write the statement in cursive either. Was this only at my center or for you guys too?

Ha! They never say that you can’t use mechanical pencils. However, I noticed that they didn’t mention writing in cursive either

@MasterMaestro
I got -4. You plugged in the g’s x value into the graph and then got the Y and plug it into the f(x) and got -4. I honestly spent so much time reviewing that one because it seemed way too easy for a end-section question.

Same

I don’t know it’s the same for all tests, but it was choice A for me

oh our people reminded us to do cursive it probably doesn’t really matter they won’t go and read everyone

@MasterMaestro
In the proctor’s instructions for all the tests prior to this one, they had to say no mechanical pencils even though they work fine, I’m certain of this.

Can you grid in 0.5 instead of .5? I just read somewhere that my answer will be marked wrong if I put 0.5.:confused:

I got -4 for that question; also, my proctor said we weren’t allowed to use mechanical pencils :frowning: I was very sad.

However, she didn’t tell us to use cursive, which confused me for a second because… we didn’t have to use cursive?

And yeah, you can grid 0.5. There’s no difference.

It’s because people might hide cameras in the mechanical pencils

Anyone’s remember one of the questions where it asked why the author added a paragraph to explain Zen? I chose the answer that traced back a philosophy to its origins

Does anyone remember where was the median 75 g-l problem? Last math section problem 15 (the one before the last one)?
