yeah i cant remember the exact word but if i concluded down to between celebrate and chance it would be chance hands down

was it “more favoritely about”?

favorably? wait what are you asking?

i put favorably too it was that and favorable of his neighbors or somethinglike that

does anyone remember whether is said “which was MOST positive” or just “which best conveys a positive tone___”?

i seem to remember that it said “which conveys the positive tone”
i think at first i might have picked chance to, but celebration of seemed more positive and i went with that.
i’m pretty uncertain about this now!

@mabs: I’m pretty sure it said most positive.

…which best conveys that buying property was a positive aspect/goal of the game…or something like that…November 10 is going to take forever to get here

was the context “_______buying property”?

I remember putting its.

I’ll just make a final comment on the “celebration” vs. “chance” question.

The question specifically asked which answer would show that acquiring property was a positive goal of the game. We’ve already established that they are both positive and can somewhat work within the context of the passage. But while “chance to experience” does sound the best, it doesn’t necessarily convey that property ownership was now the new object of the game; on the other hand, celebrating the acquisition of property would imply that owning property was a player’s intent.

Anyway, that’s just my opinion. We shall see soon enough.

@Vince
that question’s going to make the difference between a 36 and 35 for you right?

Idk about Vince but that question is gonna be the difference not only between a 35 and 36 on the English, but a 34 or 35 Composite score overall

A 32-33 on this writing would be great and the unanswerable question will most likely make that difference

chance to experience FTW

^ agree…

celebration of

That question will determine whether or not I get a 34 composite…lol so I just felt the urge to defend my answer.

I’m just not seeing how “This is the first time I’ve been able to experience what owning property is like” shows that property ownership was the new goal of the game better than “Yay! I landed on boardwalk and bought it- let’s throw a party!”…

So scores come out tomorrow night? Finally…the wait has been hard enough

@Vince011…maybe you got one right that you had thought you got wrong etc, not for SURE the make or break 34

i’m sticking with celebration of.
