<p>I am a newly admitted transfer NYU student from Oregon so have no idea where to begin in my off-campus search. Any advice for a beginner? :)</p>
<p>D has used NYU dorms for the past 2 years and has had great experiences there. However, if you want or need off-campus housing, I would start with looking at the following NYU site. Good luck!

<p>You can try posting on the “NYU Class of XXXX” page to see if anyone knows of any places or is looking for a roommate. Craigslist is also a good place to start to get an idea of what is available.
This facebook group <a href=“https://www.facebook.com/groups/nyuhousing/”>https://www.facebook.com/groups/nyuhousing/</a> is for NYU students looking for housing/sublets/roommates, so you might also have some luck on there. You do need to be in the NYU network on fb to see it</p>
