Off topic: Please UC Transfers, don't be as ignorant as this

@lawlking It is definitely possible. You don’t have to party if you don’t want to. It’s especially easier to avoid if you live on campus.

I think what’s more shocking/appalling about this video is that the interviewer is doing blackface.

@lawlking just realize that the entire social system of UCSB is based around the party scene. Alternatives do exist, but such an overwhelming proportion of the UCSB student body is more interested in partying than anything else.

i think kitty is the one who’s taking everything personal… and i am far from prejudice. i’m half syrian. i’ve dealt with prejudices all my life, so why would i be prejudice against anyone?

the same reason why abused children grow up to be abusive parents.

@UCkittychen I sense you’re one of those “reverse racist” types. Here’s an interview of morgan freeman on black history month: [Morgan Freeman on Black History Month - YouTube](<a href=“Morgan Freeman on Black History Month - YouTube”>Morgan Freeman on Black History Month - YouTube). you shouild watch it.

Every UC had their own fair share of ignorance.
UC-Davis had the Asian vs white fights in 98’
UC-irvine had the anti-semitism incident 2 years ago
UCSD had the noose
UCLA had that girl who ranted
And etc. People mistake education with intelligence–far from it. Anyone can choose to study and earn “A’s” in classes and become ignorant once the book is closed.

I’m jewish.

or why abused children grow up to be social workers and help people. you generalize too much.

and my friend michaela green happened to be african american and she had a stroke and passed away during our senior year in highschool. I cried for like a whole day straight and bawled when her brother spoke at her funeral. i am not ****ing racist.

Dude. It’s 2012. “Black face” is NOT okay.

As people have already mentioned, you’re going to find the ignorance anywhere, including Ivy Leagues. There will no doubt be a plethora of ignorant people at whichever UC you intend on attending in the fall as well. Intelligence ≠ Ignorance. :)

It’s not BYU students, it’s not the young. This is an American apathy that covers all demographics about history and politics. We scream that our congress is dysfunctional but i would argue that the disconnect shown in this video is proof that Americans get the government they deserve.
