<p>The interview process is still going on. UCB has already picked the winners (some said, 500 out of 1000 who received invitations)? Does an invite to interview mean actually “getting the regents scholarship”? I am confused.</p>

<p>500 out of 1000 for invitations? You probably mis-stated that. There were 1000 invitations issued for interview. 500 of those interviewees will receive the scholarship.</p>

<p>Let me clarify. Everyone asked to be interviewed has been accepted into UCB, but only those who 500 who pass the interview are given the scholarship.</p>

<p>I just received a letter from Claremont McKenna College this morning saying that I am a finalist for one of their scholarships. I take this to mean I was accepted! Yay! After I was rejected for the McKenna Achievment Award, I thought I didn’t get in.</p>
