Essays:
Personal Statement - About how I chose a parent in a divorce for selfish reasons that would haunt me and lead me on a journey to come out of my shell that resulted from the experience. I’d say 8+/10. I worked on it with my journalism teacher and it had a pretty solid sense of direction that showed them who I was and the challenges I faced while avoiding being whiny or long.

Teacher Recommendation:
My AP U.S. History/ Law teacher, the rec seemed to be garbage since he just made it up in front of me after I pretty much told him what to write (but hey it worked lol)

Ethnicity: Asian

Gender: M

Income Bracket(mention if FA candidate): >30k

Hooks (First Generation College, Minority,Learning Disability, etc.): I’d say low income, but most applicants to qb are so… none really

[ b]Reflection:**
Strengths: I think my essay was pretty awesome, aside from that everything was meh.

Weaknesses: GPA wasn’t the highest, no real outstanding awards or activities

Why you think you were accepted/rejected: No idea tbh

[ b]General Comments: **
Some friends who also applied weren’t accepted, and I think they definitely came from stronger extra curricular backgrounds and with stronger GPA’s, which means (I think) the real difference between their apps and mine was the essay (maybe low income, maybe recs). If you guys want to dedicate some time to something, definitely make it the essay. Write something that makes you a human being people can respect, and maybe even root for. It’s easy to say no to the generic kid who was in every club but never faced a challenge in his/her life, but not as easy to turn down the kid who grew up in a bad neighborhood and was picked on by peers for trying in school (though that’s an exaggeration, just try to stand out lol).
