@Chrysanthemum14 underscore???

@jsweets17
what?

In either the psychology or history section, one of my answers had the word “underscore” in it… Which passage was it and was it right?

I think I said D for that. What did y’all think?

I remember choosing underscore for an answer

I think it was the physiological section where there was a question that asked why the author repeatedly italicizes the word some.

Was it right? And it was underscore a difference??? Please. Thanks soooo much

I feel like I saw “underscore” twice on the test but one may have been experimental…

does anyone remember a question on CR where a few of the answer choices were “discount” and “promote”? It’s driving me nuts!

@jsweets17

remember the answer I chose was something along the lines of “emphasize intensity of a feeling”

the word used may have been underscore or underscore may have been in a different choice–that I don’t remember.

@brookeal98

I remember choosing “discount” for one of the vocab questions about insufficient data

@Chrysanthemum14 did you put underscore and if so, what was the full answer choice?

it was to underscore a distinction/ difference…something along those lines

I just wanted to share a line from the second Jane Austen passage that supported, for the question about the meaning of the strange silences, choice E) justify a biographer’s need to interpret information liberally:

“What is a biographer to make of the strange silences created by the family policy of censorship”

so yes, biographers actually were directly mentioned

You can find the passage yourself by googling “Jane Austen” “Strange silences” together (keep the quotations marks) and clicking the first link

EDIT: also, my mom just found out about the 20/25 minute mix up and is freaking out lol.

Why did the history author list all of the different textbooks used???

@jsweets17
it was the choice about many textbooks reflecting a common attitude about ____

@cityonanocean attitude about what?

@jsweets17

i don’t remember the exact wording which is why i put _____
but the essence was that the textbooks all took a common approach regarding the endings

EDIT:

other answers i remember from the textbook passage were that the purpose was to “criticize a particular aspect of history textbooks” and “falsely dramatic” and “self-evident”

Some of you have it really mixed up. For the question involving the word “some,” the right answer was “to IDENTIFY a distinction.” Another choice that was wrong, that I almost chose, was “to emphasize an intense feeling.”

Last day to cancel! Anyone going thru??
