@gkma98 it was discerned not explained - the relationship between the two languages had been discovered (it was “discerned”), but nobody knew how it came to be (they couldn’t “explain” it). Also, im fairly sure that the “somes” were used to emphasize a feeling rather than underscore a distinction - didnt they refer to the unconscious part of the brain both times?
Wait wasn’t the answer to the genesis question at the beginning of the second paragraph?
@FtheCB couldn’t it have also been “among these are”
@holayola maybe… I thought that question was tough… I can’t differentiate between those 3 options. They all sound right to me.
@bobchillax it wasn’t talking about the relationship, it was the similarities hadn’t been explained even though the language had similarities therefore the language developed independently
@holayola U prediciting a good writing curve like the one in january (80-80-78…)?
@bobchillax also “some” did not emphasize an intense feeling, there was nothing intense, it underscored a distinction imo
I put “among which are” since “which” refers to the antecedents
Someone please tell me if the answer to the genesis question was at the beginning of the second paragraph
@FtheCB this one was somewhat hard so probably. I got an 800 w in Jan. though so I’m not that worried.
does anyone remember the jane austen questions?
@gkma98 I put it at the beginning of the second, which was I think was the option that corresponded with the letter choice that said after sentence 9. Someone on the thread told me it was after 3, and so did one of my friends. To me it made sense to put it at the beginning of the second paragraph.
and it’s AMONG WHICH ARE. among them/these are (golden retrievers ex)__ are complete sentences.
does anyone rememer what they put for the rephrasing the question in regards to the bad carrots? was it because the supermarkets would not buy them or a different one?
For Jane Austen question regarding what the speaker quoted would say about the “missing letters” did u guys put:
- Prevented is from understanding Austen’s true feelings.
- Biographers must take a liberal view
- Fiction works should be preferred of biographical works.
I put option 1.
