Why on the College Board SAT account test registration page does it say the test name for the June 6th test as SAT with Essay. Usually they just write SAT
@Wannabenerd1 New SAT will include optional essay. I assume they changed it because of that.
Anyone know if there is a deadline to accept the free retake or if our scores will be invalidated if we accept it?
I read somewhere it is June 30, which would be after the scores for this exam come out.
Does anyone want to predict the writing curve (a.k.a. the one curve that won’t be affected by the misprint). Personally, I thought writing was quite difficult.

@golfcashoahu writing curve also depends on essay! u can get 48 and get 10 on essay for 800 and all that lots of weird combinations for scores

@lolokcollege I may not be credulous in CR/W, but for math i did score an 800 and can assure you that the answer was $2.5
What do you think the curves will be like after they announced they are taking off the fee for anyone who is writing in October? Do you think the curves will be generous, normal or hard?
I think CB will try to make the curves as “normal” as possible and make sure that the percentiles for this test line up with the percentiles for past sat exams. In other words, I don’t think that CB will make the curve lenient just to appease people or significantly harsher because there are less questions; I think the most important parts are the percentiles.

@lolokcollege Sorry misunderstood you then. and i wasnt lying about CR/Writing lol. you just proved it there. mabye someday ill break 700 in those. im sitting on 670 and 690 respectively

@mathislife no prob man. ur so lucky u can get the 800 in math…ive never been able to do that. as for reading…its ok. on my last sat i got a 690, but prior to this one i raised it to 770-800s
Anyone remember if that weird xy coordinate plane question where it asked you to solve the x value of point P(might have been a different variable) was experimental? The answer choices were like 5, 5,25, 5.5, 5.75, and 6. Also was the “average percent decrease” question experimental?

I emailed them, and the only response I got was to call them - the two people who replied didn’t even bother to try helping me. I’ll try calling today or tomorrow and see if I can get a waiver.
