@TigerD On the January SAT, -7 on CR was still a 710, so this curve was definitely a bit harsher. But it could have been worse?
sigh I called back the College Board and the 3rd representative told me what the 1st person had told me–that I cannot receive the free registration since I took the exam with accommodations (i.e. I got to keep my last two sections). To me this seems unfair, considering how I will receive my Student Answer Service with those sections included whereas others will not…how the hell is that standardized? O_o Not complaining, I just don’t think this was a fair testing date.
is it worth superscoring for me if i got 800 in 2 categories and 710 in the other.
So did anyone figure out why a -3 in math was a 690? And I had a -8 for a 640 R – what would those scores have been in “normal” testing??
so how do i get the waiver? do i call and then they give me a number or something?
I got a 2290. I just say I got a 2300 because it sounds cooler:)…I had the same scores as you except a 730 in CR because I got 3 wrong. Amazing how just an extra question wrong cost me 50 points (less than your 780). With that said, this test was abnormally easy. Like every other SAT (practice test) had somewhat to far harder questions in my opinion. And I also feel it’s a good thing they took out the last CR - the moai statue passages were impossible! Maybe it was just that I was braindead on the 4th CR section after 3 prior CR sections (one being experimental) but I am SATISFIED with my score overall. I never would have expected anything higher than a 750 in CR anyway.
Good luck to you!
Pls can sb provide me with CollegeBoard phone no., I want to speak with a rep to register for the Oct SAT, I have been calling since but I only hear record ed messages.
What the hell was this… I missed one in math and got a 760…Also, I had to pay for my october SAT
@sattake If you called CB and asked for free registration, they would have given it to you…
Can someone please answer my question? If I register by phone for the free October “retake” then does that mean my June 6 SAT scores will be overridden? I want to take the October SAT for free but I don’t want it to replace my June scores either.
@ScienceGeekGirl Your June score will not be overridden, and you will still have to report the score to colleges that require all scores to be reported.
