Official ACT February 2012 Science Section

I think one might have had to do with clay in the soil? I took a practice test a couple days beforehand in science so I might be getting them mixed up.

I know for sure there was one with chemicals and melting points, and there was different chemicals that were dissolved in them, and you had to figure out if they made the melting points higher or lower.

Does anyone remember the second to last question? I guessed on it and it would be shwell if I was wright. Yeah. I spell right like that.

@ajcaras2013 ahh i recalled that. its several liquid chemicals solubility graph with different solids (X, Y, and Z) dissolved in it. But just remember one question is asking about slopes (X has greatest slope, Z has smallest slope.)

Wait, was the soil one the one with Sites A,B, C and the questions asking about limestone, shale, etc. at specific depths?

I think that might’ve been from an older test/red book test… Or they reused a passage?

I think limestone IS from the red book.

Ah, yes. My mind is scrambled right now, and I got mixed up with the practice test I did the night before!

It’s been almost a week since the test, but does anyone remember the questions to the xray passage (not the answers)?

What was the percent absorbed by Ray ___ in x (whatever the variable of x-axis was) = 1.0

How much energy was transmitted in x ("")

Which had the lowest amount of energy absorbed in x ("")

Two others I cannot remember for now.

What do you think the curve will be for science? I think that the first 4 were okay but the last two were pretty hard.

I thought the section was tough but I just got my results and got a 34 in science I am so happy, i guessed on the last 3 questions. I think the curve was pretty lenient. Although I am super ****ed I got a 35 in math and got just 1 problem wrong and I understand my mistake right after the test.

youngster9

hey yongster,

what were the curves for the other sections like?

i would like to know the curve for math

youngster post the curve pleaseeeeeee
