And to think I got 800 SAT math, and 800 SATII math, and 130+ in past years…***

Hardworking send me your answers I will mark it.

Does this thread pertain to the AMC 10A test as well? I took that today, and I’m pretty sure I got a 94.5. Seeing as I only studied for approximately two weeks, I’m pretty happy with my score. I plan to study pretty hard for the AMC 12B; I’ve got my AoPS books ready!

A few questions: Is it easier to qualify for the AIME with the AMC 10 or 12? The 12 is a more difficult test, but it allows the top 5%, instead of 2.5%, to advance. Is this easier, or is there harsher competition? Also, how much harder is the AMC 12 than the 10?

Any help is appreciated!

Unfortunately you only got the first six right. And you left 12 blank

Your score is 36 + 18
54

My opinion 12, because I find the questions easier because im good at number theory combinatorics etc. Also a 120 opposed to a 90-100 score is a big difference.

Write amc 12 and read the aops books :)

I fixed it…

You got 9 right 3 wrong and the rest you left blank :)

which ones wrong?

7,8,9 ouch , they were quite easy questions take your time next time lol

what were the questions/answers?

Twelve sectors circles ( C 8)

Average question ( C 17/8)

Leap year dickens one ( A friday)

what’s the answer for problem 11,16,18 and 24?

Sheepgetkilled I have the exact same situation as you. Except I got 1-6 right, 7-11 wrong and 13-17 right. And 800 math sat but that doesn’t mean too much for a test like this

I got the one with the sectors… I remember getting 8

Also, for the iterative average I got like

65/16 - 31/16 = 17/8

I must have just transcribed my answers wrong

For the leap year question, I got tuesday…

200 year difference

50 multiples of 4, but 2012 leap year hasn’t occured yet so 49

49 = 0 (mod 7)

Thus tuesday.

thanks, I think I got 16 problems right, 4 wrong

I got Monday for the dickens but I after the test I found out I should’ve done 200-50=150 and when you divide that by 7 you get remainder 3 so go forward 3 days and you get frriday. I hate that type of question: doesn’t seem like ‘math’ to me

For the question 9, you can just check on the calendar, the answer is Friday
