OFFICIAL Amherst College Class of 2014 RD Applicants

sorry typo, i mean just kidding about the ditching thread
well later this thread is cool though

Oops! Computer crashed! I seem to have missed a complete page already!

First of all: Hogherst! That’s too cool!

CCP: Putting me in jail? What? Are you Colonel Castro Profile? Not fun!

And we are surely beating Williams!

Hahahaha. Castro is the epitome of fun, GB.

TippuSultan: AMHERST IS ONE! AMHERST IS ONE! Btw, Amherst and Williams (don’t flame me) are quite similar, although Williams is more isolated and more sports-oriented, and Amherst more academic me thinks. Middlebury is also pretty cool, just like Swartmore, Vassar and Wesleyan. If you’d like to go to the Westcoast, there’s Reed!

I laughed when he tripped a couple of years ago, yes!

ROFL GB I love what you’re coming up with.

Tippu: Most of Amherst’s departments are strong. And USNWR rankings change every year - last year Amherst was number one. It’s got great creative writing and Russian lit programs too, which for me was a turn-on. What do you want in a school, exactly?

Williams is more into research, methinks. At least, they receive more grants. If you’re into that type of thing. =P

@guilty: Oh just you wait until I introduce you to some of my North Korean friends. They’ll tell you what fun is. grins

I just loooove Williams’ location. :)

Any of you visited Amherst? Are UMass students allowed to take classes at Amherst College? Wouldn’t that be a back door entry and spoil exclusiveness of Amherst college?

Yes to the second. Of the things that makes Amherst appealing to me is that it wouldn’t involve as much of a bubble as Williams would. If you get tired of the same people everyday, there are different ‘types’ - if you want to characterize them as such - to hang out with. Not that there isn’t enough diversity at Amherst already.

Cuban Chicken-out profile!

I’ve visited Amherst! Its really great, and pretty far (“far”) from uMass Amherst. I am not sure why you would care if students from other schools would take classes there.

I like bread and I cannot lie.

Quasi, GO TO SLEEP.

I don’t want to go to an environment that feels like a large state university where good classes get closed early and you miss out attending a class you really really like. That’s all.

@GBS:In your case, I won’t even have to come up with a reason to arrest you; you’re already GUILTY!
Yes, quasi, go to sleep.

Neuuuuuh don’t! We must beat Williams first! And score a 2400!

NO! Why are you being all tetris-y and other-people’s-sleep-obsessed, huh, DC?

Yes, but no one knows! I am the one manically grinning on the side while watching the house burn down.

Tippu: no, it wouldn’t be like that. The average class size at Amherst is 17 and the largest class size is 30.

Also, any advice on overcoming CC addiction? I notice that some from India (including Punjab) live in CC 24/7.
