OFFICIAL Amherst College Class of 2014 RD Applicants

Ooh New Zealand that is so cool! I’m from India. I wish I felt isolated, there are like 19294595949232929959594 Indian Amherst applicants. :p

Thank goodness for emails indeed! :D

hahaha mind you, although i live in NZ, i’m actually asian and i bet there are a million other super competitive asian applicants!! ah well. we shall have to see what happens next week. next week - wow. SCARY!

I know, it’s terrifying! Is Amherst your first choice?

It’s not my first choice, but it’s definitely up there! It’d be absolutely AMAZING to get in  the more i research it, the more i love it  Is it yours?

Yeah, it’s my first choice. I’m so crazy about it I’ve been wearing purple and white clothes for luck xD. It’s a crazy high reach for me though. It WOULD be amazing to get in, haha.

haha well i wish you the best of luck! hopefully good news heads both our ways next week  :)

Yeah! Lots of luck to you too! :)

Quasiiiiiii! <3

DC!!! I missed you. <3

I thought you’d have defected from here after Wes. :p

Ouch. That hurts.

I still have hope for Amherst…just not a ton, hahaha. I’m trying to be as realistic as possible, and as a result, I am keeping my eyes on schools that already accepted me. IS THAT SO BAD?!

No, that’s good, I want to do that too, but I’m an idiot, I have no hope for Amherst but I’m still all AMHERST AMHERST AMHERST!

Can we just say YAY WES! though? :stuck_out_tongue: I stalked the site today for absolutely no reason. (Well, to stop stalking Amherst and because it made me think of you and thinking of you makes me happy.) :D

Hahahah. I did the sameeee thing for Brown. GOOD TIMES (not). Speaking of which, I totes forgot about the school until I clicked on Ivy League.

Of course!! Still have to get their FA package, but I have a feeling that if I don’t get into Amherst (KNOCK ON WOOOOOOOD), it’ll be between Skidmore, Vassar (provided I get accepted there) and Wes. WOOT!

You make me happy. All day, errr’ day. :D

LOL, I just replied to you there!

I will come visit you in Saratoga whatsit/Poughkeespiewhatsit/Middletown. AND in New York as well, of course!

It’s funny how things change, isn’t it.

Hahahahah. You’re funny.

And I shall visit you in Ohio/India/EVERYWHERE and wherever you choose to go to!

Truly. This time last year I had no idea Amherst existed, and I was ALL about Brown. Funny what deferral/rejection can do to someone. It’d be interesting if I got accepted, but right now my tops are Amherst, Skidmore, Vassar and Wes. Hm.

Oh man, last year I was thinking I’d end up at law school.

I’m glad Amherst is one of your tops. :D

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is such an insanely intense time! I sort of miss last year. Do you? Anything interesting planned for the end of high school?

Eh, I don’t really miss last year. It wasn’t one of my greatest, and at this specific time one year ago I was going crazy studying for SATs, ACTs and APs. T’was way too much, IMO.

Even though this year is super intense, I’m glad it will be over in a couple of weeks. I have prom, the senior dinner, graduation, and all that good stuff to look forward to, and I get to start the next chapter of my life!! I couldn’t be more excited - or more scared, haha.

What about you???
You’re one of my tops. ;)

Oh, you’re one of my tops too. sleazy look Sparkly stickers, remember, sparkly stickers.

That sounds like fun! I’m so curious about it - what’s prom and graduation and stuff at your school like?

Last year was academically and school-ly crazy for me but that was a simpler, more controllable kind of crazy you know? That’s why I miss it.

I’m excited and scared too! We shall be excited and scared together.

Mmmm, Pocahontas.

Prom is HUGE. I mean, we’ve had the venue booked for over a year, and everyone began making their limo arrangements back in January. Most people have dresses, myself included, and yeah. It starts with pre-pre-prom, where everyone in your limo goes to one person’s house to take a multitude of pictures with pretty scenery. Pre-prom is where everyone does this whole processional, involving walking under arches with your date. The entire thing is broadcast on my town’s TV station, actually. Then everyone leaves for the actual prom, and yeah! There’s also after-prom, but that varies by limo.

Graduation is the day after prom (ew), and is three hours of speeches and role-call to receive diplomas. Nothing too special, haha.

Totes understand. And yeah, this year is quite the challenge for control-freaks like us. Next week and the week after will be CRAZY, to say the least!

YES. Excellent plan.

Sorry for butting on this love fest  but omg are you serious? That elaborate? I thought they exaggerated it for movie shows etc.

We never had a limo and I brought my best friend (aka beard) to prom. :frowning:

I love your list Damacratic. I have a similar one.

Wowowow that sounds exciting and…TV show like, haha! Do you have your dress already? Are you going with anybody? (Should we talk about this on FB? Haha.) It sounds really REALLY cool! I’m jealous. All we get is this 2-hour thing in a crowded hall where we dance to bad music and drink saccharine crap and nobody really dresses up.

We don’t even have a ceremony for graduation so that still sounds cool!

Crazy times ftw. One day we’ll laugh at ourselves.

Edit: Hi gappy!
