OFFICIAL Amherst College Class of 2014 RD Applicants

Hahahah. Hi, Gappy!

MM’s profile went bye-bye, for some reason unbeknownst to me. :(

OMG MM’s profile poofed? That sucks, MM has fun status updates. :(

Hi DC! Whatcha up to.

What are the chances that Amherst mails decisions BEFORE the March 26 predicted date? What if it comes tomorrow? *GASP

What are the chances of a student getting into Bowdoin also getting into Amherst? I used the same essays for both schools.

You definitely have a chance, but we can’t really predict it can we. Oodles of luck though!

Haha I doubt it’ll come tomorrow, I would DIE!

I would die too lol. My parents are going to be home Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. They would get to it before I did.

I’m just taking a break from reading Pride and Prejudice. Ahhh, how I love Jane Austen! What about you?

QUASI! <3

I’ll be visiting one of my other schools when some of my letters come in. My mother and I just got into an argument regarding why she’s not allowed to open any of my letters until I’m there. This is just ridiculous. :P

I just read on an older thread that Acceptance, Rejection, Waitlist decisions ALL come in the same kind of envelope (the small, thin envelopes). Is this true? That sucks.

random entrance Oooh I love Jane Austen! So good :3 I just finished the last book I had to read by her, Northanger Abbey, and I think that was my favorite of them all!

Aww I’m not a huge Austen fan. Rhett Butler>>>Darcy. For some reason Mansfield Park is my favorite.

But YOU <3 ANYWAY!

Haha I fought with my parents about it too, my dad wanted to set up my official gmail account on his BlackBerry and I was like NO. Parents

eDIT: Hi Pandora!

Edit part 2: I get an email. No letter.

I LOVE Northanger Abbey, Pandora! Persuasion is one of my absolute favorites though, I must say.

Hahaha, Quasi. My mom just could not understand why I wanted to open them up myself. She insisted on calling me while she opened my letter, thinking that this would be some sort of consolation. Do I want my mom to tell me over the phone that I got rejected?! No.

Light- I dont think so, other people last year mentioned the ‘big envelope’ for acceptances, and they need to fit all sorts of crap in it so I doubt it!

Uhg, this sucks. I’m gonna be out of town of town from the 25th-3rd, right in time to miss all my letters D:
I can’t decide if I should ask the dogsitter to open them…or…wait til I get back shudder

Hahaha I knoooooooooooooooooooooow. I’d want to be alone for a second, no matter what the letter said.

Oh God canyou wait? I don’t know if I could.

I know I wouldn’t be able to, but the idea of someone else knowing my fate first would kill me inside.

This is ridiculous. Once it hits next Monday, I’m officially checking out of my sanity.

I don’t know. This is also a good time. We’re all so…hopeful.

Reality is not fun. :(

I’m scared.

And no offense, but I did not like Persuasion. I mean I know Jane Austen is supposed to be genius and all ,but it was just very flat for me.

Yeah, Jane Austen does not do it for me either.

I’m scared too. :(

Hmm I wonder how much it would cost to overnight them to Florida… =)

Have you ever read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell? I felt like I was reading another Austen book, the writers have a similar style with their humor and the way they treat their characters.

No, I haven’t! Must try it.

Is Austen your favorite author?

I haven’t had the chance to read Mr Norrell, but I did enjoy Jonathan Strange!

Blah. Wake me up when all of this is over. Maybe I’ll pull a Rumpelstiltskin for the next couple of weeks.
