Nothing to be proud of is right, Ky-anh Tran, way to raise the bar for all of us who actually had to study for the test and put up with the pressure of the speaking section, not having had lifelong practice. Why do people feel the need to take these tests when they are fluent? Colleges KNOW if you speak the language, it’s not going to impress them when you get a 5 on the exam.

My scores haven’t come yet in the mail, and I’m not encouraging the College Board to weasel more money out of people. I’d rather see the scores on paper anyway. I’m hoping for 4’s in US Gov, French, and Stats since I can get credit for that. I probably have a better chance in US Gov and Stats.

I think that if you speak the language fluently, and your college accepts CLEP, then take the CLEP and give the chance to other people because the CLEP can offer the same amount of credit. If they don’t accept it, by all means, take the AP, otherwise it’s just a way to show off.

APUSH- 3 (Basically my school makes you take half of it freshman year, then rudely interrupts you and finishes the rest of it sophmore year. Add that to my blowing off any studying I’m actually pretty satisfied.)

Stats- 4 (I screwed up the FR and lost track of time. I should have gotten that 5, but I guess I just melted under the pressure)

Woot!!!
Biology- 5
Calc BC-5
They were the two tests that actually mattered for college as I am going
into biomedical engineering!!!

Then I also got…
Comp Politics- 3 (meh… had the class first term and didnt have time to study but thats kinda too bad)
US Gov- 3 (self studied in a weekend, yeah I know you all probably think it sucks but Im ok with it for my lack of effort)
Macro- 3!!! (Woooohoooo!!! I studied for a total of like 3 hours!!!)

So anyhow Im happy because getting a 3 on government and macro means I tested out of senior social seminar at my high school and thus have space for and engineering course!!!

I was so happy to get them in the mail today! National AP Scholar and sophomore status next year!

5- US Gov/Pol (This is kind of hilarious. I took the test months after the class, and even then we didn’t do a single practice anything. It speaks to how important getting a review book and reading the WHOLE THING fairly soon before the test is. It has all you need to know to get a 5.)
5- Macro
5- Calc AB (Don’t know how that happened)
5- Eng Lit
4- Art History (Kind of disappointed, which I realize is dumb. No study books for this one.)

i called a few days ago and was elated when i heard…

us hist: 4
eng lang: 3

i know i’m not taking an astronomical amount of ap’s like most of you on here, but i studied my heiny off for us, and i think it paid. i struggled through english all year, especially on the mc practices, so i’m just happy for 2 passing scoress ;)

Eng. Lang. - 3 (F***. Horrible. I mean, I didn’t expect a 5, but I thought I had a solid 4)

Art History - 3 (about what I expected, I’m ok with it.)

Latin: Vergil - 4 (cool. I had no clue what I would get, so 4 works for me. I thought I probably wouldn’t get a 1, but other than that I had no idea)

Calc AB - 4 (grrrrrr. This was supposed to be the exam that would be my only sure 5. My teacher told me I was one of three students that would almost definitely get a 5. There were others that had a good shot at getting a 5, but might get a 4, but the three of us were basically shoe-ins. ugh. that test’s FR section still makes me want to shoot someone)

Eng. Lang. - 5 *
Euro - 4 **
Bio - Don’t know yet

My 9th & 10th grade English teacher caught a glance of the scores, and she emailed me to congratulate me. I still haven’t recieved the scores, so I just HAD to ask her what they were, lol. She didn’t see my Bio score though, but I’m pretty sure I bombed that one; that class was a joke.

I expected a 3 or 4, NEVER a 5! Our teacher never taught class. All she did was order food and whine about her ex boyfriend, current boyfriend, or lack of boyfriend. I didn’t even bother studying much. Sucks that she’s getting money off of a score she didn’t help me get.

** WHAT?! I expected a 5!! However, I’m proud of my 4. That DBQ was horrible! I’ve never seen anything so bad! It barely even made sense!

Calc AB: 5
–> Expected a 4 or 5. I never got below a high, high 4 on any practice tests, but I didn’t feel like I did as well on the actual test as I did on the practice tests.

French Lang: 5
–> Expected. Would’ve been disappointed if I’d gotten below a 5.

Calculus BC - 5 (AB Sub -5)
Chemistry - 5
Psychology -5
US History - 5
English Language - 4 (I still don’t know how I got that, I’m horrible at the MC and I’m pretty sure I bombed the ethics essay)
Art History - 4 (I should of studied more )
Env. Sci. - TBA (Late Testing)

My National Scholar award is riding on my Environmental Science grade
(I got a 4 in Euro last year)

Tritium, unless you’ve taken another exam, you won’t be getting the National anyway. You need EIGHT total exams with 4 or higher and the AB subscore does not count. I had to wait until this year to get it because I had 7 before my senior year (eight with the AB subscore but it doesn’t count).

jr
chem - 4 (REALLY thought i had a 5–i–oops?)
us gov & poli - 4 (i thought this class was absolutely wretched–not interested in the subject at all, took it bc of conflict–it turned out kind of interesting though!)
physics mech - 4
physics e&m - 2 (…expected. magnets do what?)
stats - 5

soph
calc bc - 4 (5 ab subscore)
bio - 5

if the math in my head isn’t faulty, my average is a 4 on 7 exams. aka sup distinguished honors. :D
