How many of you got AP Scholar with Distinction after junior year?

English Literature: 5
Spanish Literature: 5
European History: 5
Calculus AB: 3

Better than I expected, particularly the Calculus score :D.

And I’ve also heard that psych is a painfully easy AP… my former bf took it (he’s a math/computer guy) without studying and got a 4.

sophomore year:
spanish language- 5 (not a native speaker… don’t have the slightest clue why this test is construed as difficult)

junior year:
US history- tested late
spanish literature- 5 (zzzzzz way too ez; if you write anything coherent at all you get an automatic 5)
english language/composition- 5 (!??!??!?!?!)

did anyone else expect a 1 and get a 5 on english language? the essays really sucked, especially that second analyze the rhetorical techniques passage about the changing american attitude of frontiersman to lazy consumer.

i basically wrote “the author uses metaphor in line 30 and imagery in line 43… and communicates by utilizing a variety of different words intended to drive home his point”

true, i thought the mc section was way easier than most other people, but on the practice tests i’d been taking… well, the barrons book practice tests i usually got about 5 questions right per 50, but the mc practice tests we took in class off the AP website questions i did ok on, like 65%-75%.

i wrote a pretty good dbq on commercials and a decent third essay on charity, but i really was not expecting to have done well; i figured the dbq would be at highest a 7 (maybe even 8) and the charity essay a 6.

i still really can’t believe it.

I got my late scores in, so that makes it…

Junior:

Calc AB- 5
US History- 5
English Language- 5

Senior:

Statistics- 5
Microeconomics- 5
Macroeconomics- 5
Calc BC-5
Physics B- 5
Physics C Mechanics- 4
Physics C E&M- 5
English Literature- 5
Chemistry- 5

I’m really surpirsed about my Physics C scores, considering I taught the material to myself. I still think Chem is the hardest AP science test though.

i got ap scholar w/ distinction.

I am now also an AP Scholar with Distinction

Soph-US History - 4
Junior- World History-5
Human Geography- 4
Music Theory- 4, Non Aural subscore-5, Aural subscore- 4
Eng. Lang.- 3

what do you need to get scholar with distinction?

5 ap’s w/ scores of at least 4 i think

2007
US Gov - 3
Calc BC - 5
Stats - 5
English Lit - 3
Psych - 4
Physics B - 5
Comp Sci AB - 1*
Micro - 5
Physics C (alternate exams, got scores today)
Mech - 5
E & M - 5

As you can see, I’m a math and science type of guy. That 1 from Comp Sci was cancelled and I know I got a 1 because I purposely did nothing on that test since I hated my teacher, who thought us nothing all year and wanted to make sure he did not get a bonus that teachers get for students that pass. Besides, I wasn’t gonna use the credit anyways even if I did pass.

I’m especially glad about the Physics C tests, considering I self-studied the stuff the week before the test.

English and US Gov I can understand, considering the harsh curve, but for Psych I basically started cramming the day of the test and did not go through the last 3-4 chapters (social psych and disorders), which got me in both FRQs, especially the schizophrenia one. I know I would have gotten a 5 if I didn’t cram.
