quick question… first mcq about how the brain receives smells
does anyone remember the answer?

lalaluna i said b

It never asked for identification of cells xyz, just function. For z, it assumed it has a large vacuole lol and does a lot of storage. God help me…
I got 60,0,0 for the chi square because one would expect the ripe banana to have more nutrients and be digestable…Anyone agree with me?

What did you guys say for the very first question, predict where fruitflies will go and give reasons?
Also, what was the answer for improving experimental control and environmental factor? I thought the dry cotton is already an experimental control… Screwed that one up

@lolifofo: i did the same! i did 60,0,0 for the chi square and got like a 3.75 for the chi square value…

im trying to think positively and i think i got 60-70% of the test right and thats normally a 5 so i would hope with a new test theyre generous so the curve would only help

let’s hope there are people out there who are more confused than us…

I got 3.75 too! And I accepted null hypothesis! Please let it be right :(

Someone here got 1131 for a grid-in question. Lol that’s what I got as well.

lol omg i got 3.75 and i REJECTED the hypothesis… silly me… silly me

isn’t that the ratio one for the population sample?
i got 1131 on that one too. just glad i’m not the only one with that answer…

Yeah it is. It looked pretty simple which worried me xD. I also got .11 something for the Hardy-Weinberg grid-in.

Remember that there are multiple null hypotheses that are equally correct. I am not referring the any particular problem on the test but just in general.

i put in 0.11 coz it said hundreths. but my friend said it asked for a percentage?
i cant remember… if it said percentage then i messed up that one

How did you guys do with the fossil and mutation question??

i got .11, 1131, and 3.75 too! i accepted my hypothesis, hopefully i did the test right ahhhhhhh but what’d you guys think of the frqs?

^That would make a lot of sense since not all expectations are same. I hope we get points as long as hypothesis, data, and result (accept/reject) are consistent!

my proctor told us that it ended at 12 when it actually was supposed to end at 11:20…who does that?!? I didn’t do 3 essays at all. When the proctor said there was 10 minutes left…I was on the third freaking one & I just realized I made errors for the null hypothesis/ the wavelength question. So if you think you failed think again- that’s definitely me.

hmm mutation… change from species 1 to 2 was an inversion?
1 to 3… i put in deletion

i said CO2 deposits and similar vestigial structures idk

i got 1131 for that one too, and 3.75 although some are saying that thats wrong…hey if enough kids get it wrong or whatever, they’ll omit it
plus people on CC tend to be those who care and studied, etc so i would think a lot of people are even more confused
