**OFFICIAL** AP Chemistry 2014 Thread

Oh my god. I forgot to label my units in the Free Response QUestions. Do you guys remember about how many questions required labeling? I think I missed the majority of those. I might cancel my scores just for that. :(

@ReesesPieces‌ it’s really hard to tell. Generally any company doesn’t respond well to negative feedback so who know?

Am I the only one who’s just really happy that the stress of AP Chem is over?

@terrapin45‌ I mean now I’m just stressing about my score…

For the AP Chemistry exam, let’s just say that many tears were shed.

@cxcharlie‌ I know six and seven needed them, and I think #3 did as well. I hope you don’t cancel, because multiple choice seemed easy.

When is the frq coming out??

<a href=“AP Exams Are the Biggest Scam in American Education (OPINION) | HuffPost Teen”>HuffPost - Breaking News, U.S. and World News | HuffPost; lol.

@hawkace don’t worry: you messed up on one FRQ, all you need to get a 5 is ~60% on the test.

Hey xbox and cxcharlie and captainamerica! You guys really helped me out! Let’s keep in touch! The thing is I’m younger and you guys have more to offer, but I’ll help you guys in any way I can. Thanks.

Hey jamesjunkers Can you accept me to that google docs?
PLEase.

Does anyone know why the percentage of 5s decreased so much for last year’s biology exam? Is it because they made the curve more harsher or because they made the test more difficult? Does that mean the percentage of 5s this year for chemistry will also decrease because of the new exam?

Also i still have not found out yet if the test curve is predetermined or not?

@MasterMaestro‌ I think you mean @capitalamerica‌. If you don’t I’m sorry for making the inference, but I thought you should know.

@MasterMaestro‌ I think you mean @capitalamerica‌. If you don’t I’m sorry for making the inference, but I thought you should know.

let’s pray it’s not predetermined. I studied from a 2013 Barrons book… damn

Sorry for the double post. @acttest‌, I took the test last year so I can help; the test was new and so the bell curve was rearranged to make sure it was a perfect curve. Before, the trend was pretty flat. In passing, I also answered your question about curve; it is predetermined by the previous results and or the perfect curve.

whelp, looks like i’ll retake it next year (im in grade 10, Canada)

@LycanAlpha‌ so do you believe the minimum requirement for a 5 to be higher than usual like >70%? Or the usual 65-70%?

@acttest‌ Greater than 70%; I think that a score that high deserves a five, as they are in the top 30%. Then again, if anyone gets a five, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are more machine than human.
