Anyone think they know what the FRQ’s will be this year?

I feel like it’s gonna be something about treatments…

Anyone think they know what the FRQ’s will be this year?

I feel like it’s gonna be something about treatments…

My psych teacher is excited for the DSM 6, which is supposed to be released really soon. He predicts the FRQ will have something to do with the DSM IV!

oh dear lord i hope not, but i guess i know what i should study :P

The past FRQs scoring guidelines cut 0 slack and most of the time the Do Score and Do not score say the same exact thing, its pretty awful to think about i could miss one on such technicalities

So we just need the know that it is used as a diagnostic and treatment tool for psychological disorders?

Another question: Do you guys think we need to know the specifics of the different intelligence theories? It is easy to remember that Spearman had the “g factor” Gardner with the multiple intelligences and Sternberg found the triarchic theory. But, do we need to know the specifics of them? For instance the types of intelligence Gardner theorized?

@Nate42

I hope not… I don’t know much about that.

You only need to have a basic idea of the different intelligences. I’ve seen questions that for example give a hypothetical scenario and ask which of the 8 intelligences is most in evidence.

Ok guys, based on how much you know and have studied, what do you think your score is gonna be? Right now, i’m thinking a 3…

Here’s the 2004 one I believe
Good luck on the exam tomorrow guys!

@Nate42 , Yes i had a question or two on it from the 2007 MC , i would at least look over it.

@TheBjng2 - I feel pretty confident in a 5 tbh, my MC scores are up to par for it but i feel like i either live or die on the free response. Depends on what is on it. :(

Thank you, Yellersam!
I found the key and FRQ because it wasn’t included. Hope this helps!

I have a question and I hope it doesn’t sound dumb…

How are the FRQ’s supposed to be written? Does it have to be in regular essay format?

-intro
-body paragraph 1
-body paragraph 2
-body paragraph 3
-conclusion?

because i’m in AP Euro right now and thats how I’ve been practicing DBQ’s and FRQ’s. and i looked at sample psych FRQ’s and it seems like they’re just answer the question and definitions…

Does this make any sense?

no no no no oh dear god no, haha that would have been awful if you did that on the exam.
I’m in euro also by the way
1-3 sentences depending on what the question asks, really you’ll be applying the word to a situation presented. Read the sample psych FRQs they are a godsend, notice how picky they are (I’m currently going through every released year of FRQs)

According to barron’s:
No intro.
The questions will naturally groups themselves into paragraphs.
no bullet points
No conclusion.

Does anyone have any good ways to memorize the different parts of the brain and their functions? That’s really the only thing I’ve struggled with.

Does anyone know how the curve is on this exam?

Sorry if this has already been asked, but do you think it’s important to memorize Erikson’s/Pigeat’s stages?

Just completed a released exam from 2008. I scored a 83 on the multiple choice. Assuming I make anywhere from a 5-7 on both of the essays, that will be a 5!

Now, I’m going to review the questions and their respective sections in Barron’s and call it a night.

Nate, I’m probably being stupid but can you share the link for the 2008 exam? The earliest I could find on ap central was the 1999 one and I was worried that it’s not recent enough.

Yes, you need to memorize Erikson’s and Piaget’s stages. I see questions on those all the time.

I think this has already been posted somewhere. But for those who need it. All the released tests (questions and answers), on my server:
