<p>I think it’s time we started a thread for all of our bacon themed posts, dont you?. :)</p>

<p>While tailgating with strangers at the Rose Bowl a few years ago, I borrowed this new game-day favorite from our Hispanic football fans.</p>

<p>Bacon-wrapped Hot Dogs</p>

<p>Saute sliced onion, bell pepper, and jalape</p>

<p>This is in my slow cooker today. I use real bacon (not bacon bits). We prefer the thick-cut, hickory smoked bacon from Aldi. </p>

<p>Bacon crackers. Wrap saltines with half a slice of bacon. Bake in a jelly roll pan until bacon is done (this varies wildly, depending on cracker and bacon brand/type). A slower oven works better than a hot oven, but experiment between 275 and 375. If you want it “healthy” put crackers on racks in the pan. Might want to turn the crackers at some point. Takes between 20 minutes and an hour.
I know it is vague, but every time I make them it is different, even with the same brand if bacon. </p>

<p>These keep if you don’t eat them all up.</p>

<p>How long do the bacon crackers keep for? Do they need to be refrigerated? Can I make on a Tuesday and keep until Saturday?</p>

<p>Do I smell bacon? Woo pig sooie. Them razorbacks are headed into enemy territory today. The Tide football team us going to make bacon out of them for all the bama fans.</p>
