I’m in the same Sloan Kettering boat as some of you (have not heard anything yet). I called today and they said to expect an interview decision by the end of the week- it seems crazy to me that we could hear on Friday about and interview on Tuesday.

Kupolu, Brainaging, Utahraptor and Sunkuwong look like the only Harvard BBS winners thus far, my fingers are crossed too.

just got an invite at U of washington-Seattle

got NIH/Hopkins GPP and U of wisconsin-madison earlier this week

backflip, I just called them and they said that they have so many applications that they may put in another interview date if they do not finish reviewing all the applications by Friday.

I just found this forum a few days ago. It’s been extremely helpful in learning what to expect during this time.

Applied: Stanford (Biosciences in Biology), Harvard (BBS), Rockefeller, MIT (Biology), UPenn (BGS)
Interview: Stanford (notified 1/12 by phone), UPenn (unofficial, but my boss got confirmation that I’ll be contacted for an interview, I just don’t know when)
Accepted: Rockefeller (notified 1/7 by mail), Harvard (notified 1/12 by phone)
Still waiting: MIT

Does anyone have any insight into whether Weill Cornell MCMB Allied program has finished sending out interview invites? Still clinging to a thread of hope for that one…

BCMB I meant…

Just declined interview at Baylor MCB. Hopefully someone here can pick it up. Might be declining Wisc genetics and UW-Seattle pathology later.

For the benefit of others, I’ve received interview invitations from:

UCSD BMS (1/14 by email, 1/15 by phone)
UC Berkeley MCB (1/9 by phone, 1/12 by email)
UCLA ACCESS (12/15 by email)

Has anyone heard from UCSF Tetrad? I think I read on here that someone heard from Scripps (TSRI) a while ago… when and how?

I found out today that there are only 62 interview invites for UCSF’s BMS program… so if you have an interview, you’re in great shape since they enroll about 30 every year.

Good luck everyone!

I wouldn’t call ~50% chance “great shape”…

If they enroll 30 they must make many more offers than that, probably almost as many as they interview…

The bigger question is: How many of those invited to interview are accepted? And how many of those accepted decide to enroll elsewhere?

Has anyone tried to call UCSF Neuroscience and actually gotten someone to answer?

brain_aging,
i got an invite yesterday from UCSF with two possible interview dates one in feb and one in march (i dont remember exact date).but they said an email will follow.
i hope you hear from them soon!

Thanks for the info!

I got a Caltech Biology invitation after all, by email. What a pleasant surprise!

theory, which program at UCSF? BMS? Tetrad?

Just got invited to UCSF Neuro.

“I wouldn’t call ~50% chance “great shape”…”

I guess it depends on what you’re comparing it to. This is substantially higher than the post interview acceptance rate in the Micro department at my current school.
