Rejected today Oh well, at least they let us know instead of drawing it out. :/

Yeah I totally agree bandgeek24601. I just got the final rejection today as well. Cornell 2015 for me:)

I’m sorry guys. How did they let you know? I’m just hoping for ANY news at this point…

you guys seem to have good choices. i was WLed at cornell, northwestern, and brown…my top 3. If i dont get in, its UVA for me. not something i wanted to do :/

Just received a letter from Brown saying that though they’d hope to be able to consider me for admission at a later time, “the high number of commitments from accepted students means we will not be able to offer you a place in the Class of 2015 at Brown.” Waitlist -> rejection.

No loss. WILLIAMS CLASS OF 2015 BABY.

so it’s pretty much a “if you’re not in you’re out” situation right now?

Did you guys who got rejected get it in the mail or through email? Or both? Cause I should probably check my mail and then get this over with ugh.

I just found out I’m off the waiting list today…

Can anyone tell me when they were postmarked? I am trying to figure out if just certain regions received them today, and then other regions further west will receive as the week goes on?

Thanks!

Kady, was it by mail or email?

It was by mail.

thank you, iwannabe_Brown
I havent received anything yet :(

So… anyone not admitted off the waitlist could basically say “Well, no Brown for me…” right? :/

I want looking at a thread from a couple years ago…and it people were getting off the waitlist from brown until like mid/late June

I threw the envelope away so didn’t notice the postmark. But the letter itself was dated last Friday 5/13.

if we havent recieved anything yet, im afraid we’ll be the people left hanging till june. sucks.

mango17, I’d rather be left hanging until June than get the dreaded letter from my dream school, lol.

agreed. what school did you submit your deposit at?

Texas A&M University. It’s a great school, I know it is… but it’s just not the kind of school for me. I’m extremely diverse and I need an open curriculum, like Brown’s. I practically want to study everything! I’m leaning towards the Biophysics and Cosmology courses offered (I love theoretical physics and astrophysics), so Brown’s really a hit for me… There are just so many benefits for me to go to Brown, and I know I’d be great for the class. I’ve visited before… It felt like home :p

Haa, I’d honestly rather just get rejected now. I’m ridiculously impatient, but I guess I just want to know so my parents stop pestering me…even if it is a rejection.
