<p>To be honest, Caltech isn’t big on affirmative action. They take the most qualified, period. So existing socioeconomic differences tend to be highlighted in Caltech’s racial breakdown, for better or worse. </p>
<p>Of course, there are African Americans at Caltech–I’m sure a number were admitted EA as well–they just coincidentally didn’t post, I guess.</p>
