Our (OOS LSA admits) weighted GPA was way higher than the in-state LSA's GPA so don't be saying that they were more lenient on their OOS admissions standards. Rather, they we just took more challenging classes than our in-state counterparts and UM noticed that and rewarded us for doing so.

@Adam E. It's just the numbers are so good around the board and they seem to line up with the averages that U-M puts out each year...

Woot out-of-state engineering with our ridiculous SAT scores and (moderately) high GPAs!

Haha just kidding :)

Jankow...

Lowest Amitted Scores:

GPA UW 3.1
SAT 1740
ACT 25

Highest Admitted Scores:

GPA W 4.79
GPA UW 4.0
ACT 36
SAT 2400

I saw plenty of lower GPA's from OOS applicants. There were alot of 3.1-3.6 students with 2000-2200 SAT's. As mentioned above by another member, U of M seems to be rewarding students for more challenging schedules or tougher schools.

Thanks. Are there any stats/was this done for last years RD pool? It would be interesting to compare EA to RD.

To the best of my knowledge no. I suppose if people made an RD Decisions Thread I could do that too though?

I think there is some stuff here:

But I think that is a mix of early and reg.
