Essays (Include Subjects): 8 - I attended a visit at Cal Tech, and the admissions officer who gave the opening remarks laid out what it was that the department was looking for in essays, so that was wildly helpful.
Common App Main: 10 - This may seem arrogant, but I’ve gotten into every school on the Common App, so there’s that.
EC Short Answer: 8 - I wrote about singing, and how it’s something that I like to do despite being not very good at it.
Teacher Recommendation #1: Fine, my AP Chemistry teacher thought I was a bit of a tit, but it worked out okay.
Teacher Recommendation #2: Fine, although my History teacher did give me straight C+/B-'s throughout the year, so maybe that was risky.

Strengths: I write prettily.
Weaknesses: I have no Community Service, no real EC’s, my grades were low, and my test scores were about average for the school.
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Looking at this thread I really have no idea.
