<p>I’m really confused right now. Excuse me if i sound arrogant but can someone please tell me how i got deferred? I sent my app + supp on Nov 1 before the deadline with an SAT score of 2210. i then took the Nov test and got a 2350 and sent that in as an additional report…i really expected an acceptance (I wasn’t using michigan as a safety when i applied with the lower score and so essays were still pretty good)</p>
<p>… could it be that they don’t view all applicants and just defer those who sent apps late?</p>

Yay first college acceptance 
Gotta say I’m glad I got in, don’t feel motivated to go here since I’m no longer in state and Berkeley’s appeal money wise is so much better, but it still feels great to see that I could go to the same school as some of my friends. The email was a surprise since I didn’t expect it today, but I’m not too surprised I got in. It’s a back up stats wise, but a great school for anyone. Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck to those that got deferred!</p>
<p>I got deferred with a 2370, good grades, and plenty of other good stuff. As someone replied to me on this thread, they may have assumed you were using them as a safety, which they don’t look. Of course, it’s all just speculation, so who knows.</p>
