If we havent heard by now does that mean a rejection?

Is getting the good deferral letter actually better than getting the bad one? Or is it the same regardless?

Does not necessarily mean a rejection, everyone have faith.

@entend tons of other schools release their early statistics even before decisions are released, there’s no reason for me to assume Mich would be any different.

Here is the thread last year about the three different deferral letters:

"Dear Francisco:

We have carefully considered your application to the University of Michigan College of Engineering for Fall 2013. Given our surging application volume and very strong credentials of our applicants, admission to the University is becoming increasingly competitive. As a result, your application has been deferred for a final decision until a later date.

Your application will be re-evaluated, and a final decision will be made based on how your credentials and academic achievements contribute to the composition and quality of this year’s freshman applicant pool. All final admissions decisions of admit, deny, or waitlist will be made no later than early-April, 2013."
