***Official Cornell Class of 2016 Spring Transfer Thread

@waitforadecision hey, i was accepted i think they’re rolling decisions

@mishimishi you were accepted on a saturday via email? what college did you apply to?

@mishimishi sorry i didnt see you were responding to an earlier comment about human ecology. my bad!

Hey @doctortillman Yea I applied to human ecology and I found out yesterday (friday) through e-mail. I actually think they sent out letters before I received this email because it said “congratulations again”

@mishimishi yes, I did get in. What will be studying?
@waitforadecision, I haven’t received my admission package yet, but I did receive an email telling me that the information they sent out in the decision letter was wrong. I just gave them a call and it seems like my stuff just got stuck in the mail. I’d say I got my response about 10/14 days after my application was finalized (high school transcripts took a while to get sorted).

@CALSHopeful I know that for the financial aid, there’s multiple categories… Which one does it say it was ordered??

@ronniec95 it says my “Transfer Transcript” was ordered.

ACCEPTED TO ILR! JUST GOT THE PHONE CALL! COMPLETELY WASNT EXPECTING IT!

@Vctory Congrats man! Just got my call as well, guess I’ll be seeing you at Cornell ILR this spring!

Congrats you guys!

@TheatreL hey i’ll be studying policy analysis and management, what’re you studying?

@Vctory @Wittmann congratulations guys! That’s interesting that they called on a Sunday, but that’s awesome!

Does anyone know how financial aid works? I didn’t apply for any form of financial aid at Cornell, but without it there’s no way I can afford Cornell. I currently receive FAFSA and TAP at my current institution, do you think that will transfer over?

Getting nervous now…I hope I get into ILR and hear back really soon :-SS

@Vctory @Wittmann did you guys apply for financial aid?

Thanks!

@RedBear2016 I haven’t submitted my financial aid documents yet because I haven’t had access to the Fin Aid To-Do List, but I’m applying for aid. I’m giving their office a call tomorrow and am going to drive up later in the month (5 hours) to both meet with my fraternity brothers up there and visit the financial aid office.

Note: I still can’t access my financial aid portal (Access Denied 403), but I can now log onto the housing application.

I seriously didn’t think I’d get in. Directly after, I went for brunch with some fraternity brothers to celebrate. Completely floored when I got the call, especially since I couldn’t log in to housing/fin aid while other people could. Honestly, after this week I had pretty much thought I was going to get rejected and was seriously starting to consider an alternative career path. Very, very excited to be admitted and follow my passion in the human side of business!!! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear!

@Vctory Super happy for you! You definitely deserved it.

Has anyone heard back from SHA yet?!

Do you guys think that’s the last of the ILR acceptances? I didn’t get a call today.

^Definitely not! He said the reason he called me today is because I was accepted last week, but my acceptance information might not get to me until after the Thanksgiving holiday and he wanted me to make an informed decision given the quick turn-around. You might be one of the ones who would definitely find out before Thanksgiving.
