Official Cornell Class of 2018 Waitlist Thread

If we’re outside the US should we be expecting any letters or calls? I just got my acceptance letters from March the other day; international post is slow and I’m not sure whether I will get stuff too late.

@RVF312‌ it wouldnt be surprising if they already filled up their class and won’t be needing the waitlist

I agree. Last two years they have taken 70+ from the wait list, but two years prior 0. Perhaps they have a higher yield. Perhaps they have rolling admissions until they fill the class. All guess work at this point.

@iono88 best of luck. Where you headed, if you care to say?

Soooooo anyone else still waiting on their CALS rejection? I’m starting to think it got lost in the mail or something

@goodnamesaregone Me!!! I’m international so mine was quite possibly lost in the mail

Me! @goodnamesaregone‌ I haven’t received ANYTHING since I sent the letter of continued interest! Idk what’s going on… I’m live outside the states though, so maybe it’s still on it’s way.

Has anyone who applied to AEM heard anything yet?

@imtryingokay I just got a confirmation of my sent materials last month and a reaffirmation of my place on the list yesterday. Both however were replies to my own emails.

@sgsg13: Did you mean you just receive the confirmation? That is great, you are still in the loop.

Yeah pretty much, as in they know I’m still interested, sending stuff etc

Just send the school an email to check if I am still on waitlist. Did not receive reply yet.

Received reply that they closed CAS last week, and no space for me. :-(

:( which major I dual applied for CALS AEM and CAS Econ

Math.

For anyone still waiting on CALS, I called the admissions office yesterday to make sure they received my update, and I was told that committees are still meeting and decisions should come in the next few weeks.

Does hotel school never answer their emails? I sent them an email about 2 weeks ago asking a question that I’d rather ask over email than phone, but still not a single reply.

Weeks?!?! Man, that’s just giving me another bucket load of stress. Shoot, I don’t even know if engineering will even pull anybody off the list.

Wow; Penn closed theirs around May 20, Berkeley on May 31, and Johns Hopkins just today. I’m surprised Cornell hasn’t closed yet.

Penn’s active waitlist is still open… @dividerofzero
