hey! i applied for CALS (Food Science)… anyone on the same track? :)

60 hours to go.

You spilt tea on your knees… Call that Chai-knees!

Young Moola Baby!

How come some of you guys get the congratulations page? I guess I didn’t get in :-S

you have to click on the red banner

click on the link and then it takes you to a page with instructions there is a red banner with the logo on it, click on that

I feel the tension and pressure of these recent posts. Just try to keep calm. I am a mom of a D who applied to CAS and she has anxiety ahead of the decision date as well.

Your anxiety is real:
- You have high expectations for yourself.
- Your family may have the same high expectations for you.
- Your peers at school think you are so smart that you will get in everywhere you apply and they wish they could be more like you.
- If your high school has many kids applying to Cornell, the stress if even greater and you want to be one of the ones accepted. If you are not, you now have to be happy for them, but wondering why they rejected you?
- And the list goes on…

A bit of professional advice if you will indulge me: I work in college admissions and college consulting and I can say that there is no way to “back door” you decision prior to the release date. These universities have sophisticated systems and are not naive to kids trying to find out early.

You are all amazing kids with awesome high school careers. Good grades, tests, ECs etc. All of you are qualified for admittance! If I were a genie and could grant you each one wish, I would give you the opportunity to be a “fly on the wall” in the discussion room so you can see how difficult it is for the committee to choose between so many highly qualified applicants. It can get pretty heated. Admissions committees are human and also subjective once the “meat” of your application is vetted (grades, rigor, gpa tests etc). Remember, they are looking for reasons to admit you, not reject you.

I know it’s easier said than done, but be patient, and if the decision is not in your favor, do not take it personally. You will make any college or university lucky to have you. If rejected, my D says she will be singing “Let It Go” from Frozen, and move on to her RD schools.

Best of luck to all of you!

Has everyone gone to the congrats page? I’m too paranoid haha so if I know what it looks like now, and then I don’t see it right away on Thursday…

Is our results page going to be strictly for results only? If so, we should still do
“congrats / reflection” stuff on this thread.

Why has nobody got the e-amil we are only 2 days away!

@santaman1 stop panicking! It’s going to be okay :-SS
