Official Cornell Class of 2019 Regular Decision Applicants!!!!!

Good luck everyone especially those who were deferred

Hi everyone! Yesterday I received my ILR acceptance letter. For all of you still waiting, please don’t be dismayed! Upon further research online, I found no indication that this was the only round of acceptances. Additionally, I also know of students in previous years who were accepted to ILR during the normal decision date. The best thing to do right now is to stay confident! The time you spend worrying is time you will never get back. It’ll all work out in the end, I believe in you!

Congrats @ByGraceThruFaith!!! What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking?

Waiting to know just like the rest. Just wondering, does anyone know if the acceptance letters were thick envelopes?

Thanks @lisaol ! Feeling extremely blessed and humbled right now. My stats are very ordinary: SATs were definitely average and my essays weren’t amazing in my opinion. I also live in a state that is very competitive. If anything, my acceptance should give you hope! Stay positive

Dying to get home so that I can check my mail and either be filled with joy or emptiness as I either wait another day for a letter or stop waiting because I got rejected… Incredibly nervous!

@ByGraceThruFaith‌ Congrats! I’m from California, so I’m a bit worried that my state’s really competitive.

Were people accepted based on the school? Yesterday my friend got into CAS (economics major), which is why I’m asking.

I thought all CAS decisions came out on Ivy Day?

@justinn76 I would guess that maybe he was deferred and got accepted but I have no idea. I rushed home today to check my mailbox and didn’t find anything from ILR. I know chances are slim, but it is disappointing nonetheless. Did anyone else get an ILR acceptance today? If so, stats and rough location would be appreciated! Good luck everyone

@justinn76‌ That’s what I thought. Another friend and I asked him about it and he said that all he knew was that he got the acceptance letter.

I also didn’t receive an ILR decision yet… I’m starting to think that this means rejection :frowning:

For those who were accepted- did you get admitted into your first choice school at Cornell, or were some accepted to their second choice, instead?

@friskysquirrel, perhaps you mean CALS, not CAS. Arts and Science comes out at the end of the month.

@annwank‌ No, he told me he applied to Arts and Science.

^hmm, that does not make sense to me.

… CALS comes out at the end of the month too.

Congrats to all those who received positive news! Just out of curiosity, for ILR people were the letters you received official acceptance letters or just likely letters? @Peezus‌ @ByGraceThruFaith‌

Do you think it would be bad to call admissions?

^That would depend on the reason…
