@thegrant I mean they have everything I want in a college but will I stand out at a university like cornell instead of a top public honors program. Does that matter?
@ivyhopeful97 nobody stands out in college if theres 20,000 other kids in the school lol
but it really doesnt matter if u stand out or not yo
I’m a female and applied for engineering but did not receive a likely letter. I know a lot of people who get in don’t receive likely letters but I’m still really worried. My friend got one and she has almost the same test scores as me, a lower GPA, and fewer EC’s.
Do I still have a decent chance? I’ve gotten into every school I applied to so far, including UCLA
@thegrant @ivyhopeful97 I honestly would rather be the worst of the best, than the best of the worst lol.
@sjmjw5do Yeah, you still have a chance. They only released a limited number of likelies. So there’s still a lot of acceptances that won’t come till Ivy Day, including female engineers.
And besides, there’s nothing you can do now. I would just relax for the next couple of days
Hi! My D has applied for RD. She got a reply that admits will be given by 1st April.
Any body has any idea abt when financial aid will be declared?
@gururaj, the notification time is 3/31 at 5pm
If you submitted all financial aid materials on time (FAFSA, CSS, IDOC), you should get financial aid on 3/31
Hey @jamesjunkers, see you on the Rochester thread too. Your expecting fiancial aid to come with the acceptance on the 31st? Though my daughter is in at UofR, and it’s her #1 choice, we’re still ver interested in what Cornell has to say!
@Yokennyr, yes, if you submitted everything on time, financial aid should come on, or very soon after 3/31 (probably within the week) .
I haven’t received any communication from Cornell in months…is that normal? No email from them about decision date or anything
Yes that’s normal. Well get an email about decisions on March 31, that’s what they did for ED
@justinn76 Same. It’s normal though. Cornell would contact you if there were materials missing or something. They posted the decision date on their website.
Thank You @jamesjunkers
7 more days guys!
Hyperventilating. Thank God I’m on spring break, or I would’ve gone berserk in school haha
You guys are lucky…my spring break doesn’t start till April 2nd
I won’t be focusing at all in school on Tuesday
This is going to be a long week I feel like most of my friends are wrapping up their college decisions process but mine didn’t truly start (I mean I heard back from safeties before then) until UCLA last Friday.
Northwestern rejection still hurts but I’m really optimistic about Cornell. Different school, hopefully different result!
@airspirit Yep. Tuesday might as well be a day off. My concentration in school will not exist that day.
I’m going to beg my parents to let me skip on Tuesday. It’s worth a shot.
