@fri3nds04: Oh, I definitely will. I love the interplay between psychology and social issues. I just hope I can graduate in 3 years :)

BlueLife, are you admitted as sophomore? I think the status they gave you is pretty accurate. So, don’t worry about it :)

Random comment: This place is great to make friends.

*Best friends

@fri3nds04: yes, admitted as a soph
They also said transferring as a sophomore gives you more chance for a semester in Washington – which is pretty cool!

@fri3nds04: also, I have a question. Are transfer students treated any differently by the general student population at Cornell? [Transfer Student Bias | The Cornell Daily Sun](http://cornellsun.com/node/26216)
This article seems to imply that…

@Bluelife. I think there are probably some that will judge us, but it won’t affect our day to day lives.

Who cares if stuck up snobs judge us? They arn’t the type of people I’d want to hang out with anyway.

Any news today?

although I have not been accepted yet, I do consider not getting a rejection in the mail today as good news. I know this question has been asked before but I have not heard a response so far. Does anyone know of someone applying to CALS who has received a rejection letter?

@vette25: I don’t think anyone form CALS get rejected yet…

@ All accepted CALS applicants

How much time was there in between when you could log into housing and when you got the email from CALS?

I guess I can say that I’m the first one on this thread to be rejected from CALS. :(

Did u get a rejection letter??

@ottasurf

Sorry to hear about that. When did you find out?

Yes I got a rejection letter and it came in the mail today

That sucks! Sorry to hear that!

I was rejected from CALS AEM by mail. I thought I have a decent shot, I felt it was because my gpa was a bit low 3.5. Also maybe because I didn’t take the two bio courses required so that hurt a bit too. I felt my essays were pretty good and the reasons. I worked two internships on wall street in investment banking and also am from a pretty good program in the Baruch College Honors Program where you take honors courses. I also conveyed strong interest and fit for finance. I am not sure how much better my work experience could be. Lastly probably because of ec’s, I didn’t have officer positions except one, yet I was also in the newspaper. My ec’s were decent but not VP of two clubs type of caliber.

Other than that, AEM is pretty hard to get into, they take very few students as transfers. I also applied to Stern, which I felt my app was a bit better.

@batmanAA: I can’t believe they didn’t take you! Your work experience on Wall Street should have persuaded the admissions office
The only thing I can think of is the required coursework – the bio classes you mentioned. I wish you the best of luck with NYU.

Appeeeeeeeeeeal! Appeal!!!
