Puerto Rican writers paragraph
. Author = reject the widespread practice as inappropriate (the practice of separating into English and Spanish journals, eclipsing their unity) The other feasible choice was the coinciding two conflicting views, but I thought it was clear that bringing them together > separation in the author’s view, especially with his word choice of “eclipse” in the final sentence.

Astrophotography paragraph
. Photography = act of self-expression
. Putting a person in the picture also = suggest an approach

Scientific Theories

*I was making this off of the math thread, and saw that beast69 started a list, so I hope you dont mind me borrowing some of your questions :P

oh yea, that one i put Were we something something, then life would be boring. Cuz i was looking for If we had, but since it wasn’t in the choice. I thought about the sentence, Had I done better on SAT last time, i wouldn’t be here. So i suppose Were we is the same as If we had known

snowman- the questino was like the newspaper did not take side in a controversial idea, so it was known to be intellectually (solemn or timid

solemnity is, i think, something good and positive.
timidity, although somewhat strong, fits the idea of being scared to take part of something.

It was quite harsh you really had to get everything right for an 800, but i feel this test was quite harder than the last one i took, well the MC at least
the open ended was relatively simple

1 rawpoint off was a 780
2 raw points 760

Someone someone succeded Elizabeth as the director of National American Association, led …
No error?

Someone someone, whose 1978 novel —, is considered…
No error?

For the first question of the science passage, i didn’t put receptivity, i thought the first sentence says he has special interest. So i remember i chose the first answer, it was something delight i think.
Also, the Motown was not an experimental right? Cuz my other one was about Aunt in Hawaii.

thanks echelon for that comprehensive list. can you give me more detail about the son/dad writing question. i might be able to help you on that one.

-i think the motown was the experimental because I had two 35question wirting section (motown being sec7, which is commonly the exp)

Succeeds Elizabeth As, Not To Be. Any objection? I also put no error for that one about the novel

It seems that motown was real, but for those writing exps…
Son and dad + stove/wood was really weird

 • Was it “in addition” or “true to form”
 • Papers and junk mail are “consumed by fire”? The sentence itself seemed right…but they didnt give you an option for that.

So is the answer TEMPER or SUSTAIN

and is the indian one EXPERIMENTAL

for the one about “chapp succeeded elizabeth TO BE the president of national american association” (if this is the right question), i got TO BE because i thought it shuold have been TO BECOME. omg /cry

SeaHwang, the question about newspaper, It said something about having the reputation, so i think it needed a positive connotation word, instead of being timid.

ok guys im outy

im feeling relatively optimistic on this test :D

hopefully score will come out before dec 29 x_X

Something is ironic only if it’s not supposed to happen.

The governess wasn’t learning from her encounters with the children…she wouldn’t be expected to be. It would be ironic if she wasn’t teaching them, because that’s what a teacher’s supposed to do.

It was ironic because most people get better after acquiring more experience. The governess wasn’t getting any better, and hence the irony.

for the one about “chapp succeeded elizabeth TO BE the president of national american association” (if this is the right question), i got TO BE because i thought it shuold have been TO BECOME. omg /cry

wait i did the same thing! is to be right?

omg if dewran and i beat the odds of that dumba$$ question. i am gonna have a toast and a feast.

anyone here a junior and is thinking about canceling that SAT?

I have a feeling that the curve for this one will be generous…nothing like the november one lol.
