Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I’m really happy. I can’t believe I got accepted as an out of state student. I really was not expecting it. Apparently my school doesn’t get a lot of Berkeley admits.

Just for all those prospective students who may be reading this somewhat egotistical thread, I got in too, but my GPA was roughly a 3.2 and my SAT scores were all in the 600s. So don’t be too intimidated by these other guys “stats”; there is hope for you yet.

Kultur Wolf - Woah, really!? Did you have amazing ECs or essays? URM status?

Azure- I will admit that I still find my acceptance a little “unfathomable.” I would not say my ECs were extraordinary, nor am I an underrepresented minority.

Obviously, I have no clue why I got in, but unlike many applicants, I took a whole year off from school before applying to college. So my theory is, I’ve had many experiences to share that most high school seniors simply haven’t had the time to experience for themselves.

I could be wrong. Who knows, really.
